Best rainy weekend recipes

Ina Garten's tomato and eggplant soup (except that I use an immersion blender to make it smoother (although still a little bit chunky)).

44-clove garlic soup.

Saw this recipe recently and plan to try it. Marinated chicken thigh on a thick slice of cabbage on a sheet pan. Wallet friendly too.

Do you have a good recipe you could share? I am an excellent cook but Asian recipes intimidate me a little!

I've been making this for years. I also highly recommend the author's Vietnamese cookbook.

I am making French onion soup and fried green tomatoes for supper on Sunday. I picked the tomatoes just a minute ago. If I am motivated I will make some bread that will be part of the soup serving.

I'm going to try the AllRecipes best lasagna recipe that takes awhile. One for this week, one for the freezer. I like the idea of the sauce simmering on the stove for a few hours on a cold, rainy weekend.

I'm going to add in some goat cheese to the cheese blend like Ina Garten's recipe does.

Will you freeze this before or after cooking?

Today I'm going to make a squash and carrot and apple soup and tomorrow I'm making a pot roast for Monday's dinner.

I gather all the bones that everyone licked and sucked on dry them in a dirty pot and then make a bone soup. My ugly husband and tortured child throw it in the garbage when I am not looking and I pretend not to notice.

I made WF short ribs the other day. So little meat and so much fat. It was gross. Worst short ribs I have ever made.

Buy short ribs at H-Mart or Lotte. Much better quality.
