That's a PR piece. Now post the Contract. |
Found it: it's still posted on the MCPS live meetings page archive, under Special Programs, 2021: https://mcpsmd.new.swagit.com/videos/148980 |
You mean you posted it. The BOE calendar was clear. The meeting wasn't televised. Tue, November 30 10:00 AM District 3 Candidate Interviews List of Interviewees *Meeting not televised |
It's a contract for STEM Programs http://procurement.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/Home/Award_Record/544 |
I do not work for MCPS. I am just a parent who watched the meeting that was linked to their web site last year, and guess what, it still is. Maybe it wasn't televised live on MCPSTV, but the recording was linked to that page that day or the next, because I watched it then.
At any rate, I encourage everyone to watch the interviews with Scott Joftus and Julie Yang, as it's a great opportunity to hear both of their responses to the board's questions. |
That was last year and that contract already expired. Now find the new contract that is being approved tomorrow. |
If you don't believe me, you can even find the archived page from Dec. 1, 2021 on the Internet Archive, and the Nov. 30th meeting was already linked there: https://web.archive.org/web/20211201225400/https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/boe/meetings/live.aspx |
Right. The BOE didn't link to it, even said there was no recording, but you found the link. Why do you think Board of Education members and staff couldn't find the link to post it to their calendar? Maybe you should work for them and help them out. |
According to this piece more than 1,650 students would have engaged with the organization in that school year. That is 1 percent of the student population of mcps. If you divide the investment (in the millions) by 1,650, it’s a huge fee per student and hard to justify when the other 158,000 students have no engagement or benefit. |
This video says it was up to 7,500 students in 2021. |
$756 per student. That's a reasonable fee for a field trip. |
| We so love the children's museum! So fun that they're doing this! |
Doing what? What are they doing and why do you prefer to take your child to Bethesda instead of having a science teacher in your school? |
Exactly! |
I think his opponent starts these thrads. |
