Throwing Balls Across Pools

Kids have no awareness of surroundings.
You would not allow this at a playground - why is it OK at a pool?

Ha! Good one. Because kids throw balls at playgrounds all of the time. Practices are held on they fields right next to the climbing structures and swings.

It really is a space taking issue. Two or third people tossing a ball keep getting farther apart until they’re taking the length or width of people and everyone else is effectively pushed to the sides.

Do what do you do at the pool? Stand there? You can’t do that at the side while active people enjoy themselves?

I hope you get hit in the head next time.

This comment has been cracking me up all day.

I hope you’re 12, because otherwise, I’m so embarrassed for you.

I’m 41. It’s still funny.

Wow, I might get it with a squishy ball.

I guess you think I should get my Will in order, huh?

+1

I love it when uptight idiots say they’re “embarrassed for me”

+1 it is fun and interactive. You easily meet new friends with it.

It seems so inconsiderate to me. If you throw footballs or other things across the water at public pools, please stop. It’s obnoxious.

You don't understand why? They do it because they are fun. People go to the pool to have fun.

There is no way to enforce a rule like that unless the government does

I was more wondering if it was frowned upon. I'm a PP who said they were doing this last week and had no idea were annoyed by it. I never belonged to a pool growing up and I don't now with my kids.... but last week we were on vacation and the rental came with a pool (for the complex). We were throwing a squishy water ball around. I had seen people doing this at the beach so I assumed it was ok. There was one other person in the pool, but it was a little one in a puddle jumper. We were on the opposite side. Anyways, just trying to figure this out!
i ask the lifeguard first. Some allow.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard of this week. But it’s only Tuesday, and DCUM will probably top that. I have faith in all you busybodies!

Why was your stupid kid just hanging around by the hoop?

Good thing public pools are for the poors.
