Throwing Balls Across Pools

Was it a baseball?

I was a lifeguard thru h.s. + college. Ask your lifeguard nicely to shut this down. It is a "no throw" in public pools unless no one else is in pool.

Amazing how you were able to determine both the ages AND race of those involved, despite neither being mentioned in the OP.

You’re disgusting.

Thank Gaia there’s a pool out there with reasonable, common sense, squirt gun control. I can only imagine the number of mass squirt gun shootings this had prevented.

Heroic. Simply heroic.

I now live in a HOA with pool that has strict rules: no balls, no floats, no toys, no noodles, no face mask googles, no jumping in, etc. and to be honest, it's terrible.

Why? Not because the kids can't do anything, but because the kids can't do anything BUT yell.

They have nothing to play with so all they do is yell and scream playing marco polo and other water games. There's zero peace.

The last place I lived didn't have such silly strict rules and the pool was so peaceful. Sure, there'd be a random game of marco polo, but it was never 100% loud all the time.

Also, I never stepped on random rocks/pebbles when in the pool because kids were allowed to bring in those little dive toys. Kids smuggle rocks/pebbles in now to have things to dive for and then just leave them behind because who tf cares about taking a rock/pebble back out with them when they leave??

It’s based on what I see at my own pool, genius

My family throws a water ball around nearly every time we go to the pool. It's soft foam, and I can't imagine how it would hurt anyone even if it hit them. But in more than a decade of doing this, we've never hit anyone.

My kids do other crazy stuff too...just yesterday one had their eyes closed while moving around the pool calling out "Marco".

DH got hit by one a few weeks ago. It was 2 adults throwing the ball around with little coordination and attention. Very annoying.

Everyone with a brain knows this is what OP was talking about and we all deal with these people at our pools. People responding about how they toss their little squishy water ball with their kids know that’s not what this post is about.

If people do this in the ocean at the beach is it bad too?

There is no way to enforce a rule like that unless the government does
