Fake nails - tacky or not?

I have a weird ASMR thing with fake nails. I love watching people’s hands with the really long nails - the way they look and sound (clicking). I find it very relaxing!

Opposite for me. I can't get out of my head how filthy they are. The sound of them clicking/clacking/touching/spreading all the bacteria hidden under them. The weird pinching fingers in order to touch/complete tasks successfully because they can't move like normal human hands....ugh..... extra yuck points if I see someone touch their hair with them.... so creepy.

I think fake nails (any kind, tips, acrylics, powder etc.) always look tacky. Regardless of how they are varnished or their length.

I'm a shorter nailed lady who keeps my natural nails no more than 2-3mm long, squares or squarish oval. I do a weekly at home mani, and do wear a variety of colours every week. For me it's not about saving money by doing home manis. I do actually go for monthly pedicures.

Anyone else in my camp with thinking fake nails are tacky? Or am I the lone one on this?

There is no general public option on in this or anything else. And why do you even care? Do you and don’t worry about what anybody else is doing.

I work with my hands, so when I see them I think of all the things that must be difficult or impossible to do with those nails.

Yes, long nails, fake nails - gross. Just keep ‘‘em short, clean and tidy.
