While this seems like a great cause and I'm glad that some DCUMers chose to support this teacher, we can't allow such posts -- just as we don't allow GoFundMe posts -- for the simple reason that the forums would be overrun with such threads. Moreover, while I have every reason to believe the OP of this thread is completely honest, our anonymous format makes fraud extremely easy. So, for the sake of consistency rather than my own personal desire (which would be to leave this thread open), I've removed the wishlist link and will lock this thread.

For what it is worth, this thread provides another demonstration as to why teachers deserve our respect and admiration rather than the seemingly constant criticism targeted at them in our schools forums.
