I think this is a good guess. R. White comes across as slimy. |
This possibility is the only thing driving me to vote for Bowser. Otherwise, I would stay home. |
I’m not voting in protest. |
That’s how we got Trump. |
T. White is the guy pushing the anti-Jewish myth? Uh no. DC deserve good leadership. He’s neither good nor a leader. |
He apologized for those comments and hasn't made any anti-jewish remarks since then. |
Regardless of whether or not he has made anti-Jewish remarks since then (and his apology tour at the Holocaust Museum does not exactly inspire confidence in the sincerity of his mea culpa), anybody who sincerely believes that the weather can be controlled by a shadowy transnational group - Jewish or otherwise - does not deserve to hold public office. |
Oh well...plenty of white politicians say and do harmful things and they don't even bother to apologize. I'm voting for T. White |
yeah, but the popular narrative is that he'll get the Wards 7 & 8 vote. |
Yup. Antisemtism is fun.
|
Who though? I can’t in all honesty support more Bowser but the Whites are both scary terrible |
Engaging in Anti-Blackness is fun for a lot of people on here as well...

I am voting for Bowser. The city is well-run and she is pro-police. She has been tough on Racine, who has been soft on the prosecution of criminals. Racine endorses Robert White.
Throughout the pandemic, Bowser has done a great job with getting vaccines out, rapid tests, PCR testing. And now with each ward having a COVID center, it's been impressive. I also like that she was tough on the WTU when they wanted to keep schools closed for a longer period of time, which we now know, and many of us knew then, is a disastrous thing to do to kids. Bowser has my vote. |
I feel your pain, believe me. But I will hold my nose and vote Bowser because the other choices are worse. I have no illusions she gives a damn about my family but I can’t not vote. |
Do you have any examples of White DC politicians doing and saying hurtful things? I don't doubt you, but I'm wracking my brain here, and the only other time a DC politician said something harmful was when Marion Barry ranted about needing to "do something about these Asians" in Ward 8 and their "dirty shops." |
