He wanted to keep schools closed longer! Robert White is out of touch. |
That should be her slogan |
There's another entity that had a lot to do with school reopening, and also hindered school reopening. That entity supports R. White. Bowser ain't perfect and certainly should have pushed harder against that unnamed entity, but R. White would have continued school closures even longer. As he proposed to do in 2022. |
| So developing the city and bringing more housing and retail is bad?! I am dying for Walter Reed and Wegman’s to open. |
Also, I don’t watch Fox News. I read the Atlantic, the economist, wapo, nytimes, watch pbs, and other world newspapers. And yes, I associate crime with homeslessness because logically the link can be easily drawn. There are large homeless encampments in San Francisco and DC and there are major issues associated with those encampments. It seems like you’re willfully obtuse on that issue. Overall, I just liked seeing the city organically move toward more prosperity under mayors like Fenry and Adrian Williams, folks who supported development. It seems like you’re some kind of social crusader, who probably lives in bethesda, and benefited from the real estate appreciation and reduction in crime from 1999-present, but doesn’t seem to recognize the prime drivers of those benefits or that they derive from new construction, jobs and a generally more liveable city. |
I don't know that anyone is giving her credit for opening schools, but it is a fact that R. White tried to shut down schools this academic year. Bowser did not. Also, no school district in this country figured out hybrid learning in a way that wasn't terribly disruptive, so thinking that Bowser could have come up with some answer that literally no one else did is silly. |
No, that's generally not the issue, at least from my perspective. It's failing to enforce the Building Code, leaving victims all over the place. Bowser opposed and fought the council's plan to try to clean up DCRA and create an enforcement arm. |
| Robert White is an extremist on school closures. If you think schools werent closed nearly long enough, he's your guy. He proposed legislation that would have forced schools to close for most of THIS YEAR. |
virtual was *always* going to be a sh-t show - laptops were not the problem! the problem is that kids can’t learn that way. bowser did what she could to reopen; unions fought her every step; and R White wanted to continue closures INTO 2022. |
I still cannot get over that |
I don't love Bowser but Robert White is a nut job. She benefits by having completely unqualified challengers. |
You haven’t pointed to a single piece of evidence to support anything you believe; it’s all vibes. I mean:
And
And Overall, I just liked seeing the city organically move toward more prosperity under mayors like Fenry and Adrian Williams, folks who supported development LOL. I know you think you’re rational, but when you scratch the surface it’s just about how you *feel* and inferences that you make based on your priors. That’s fine! Everyone is entitled to vote based on how they feel. But don’t pretend that you’re operating based on facts or logic. |
| I'm voting for T. White. I can't stand Bowser and I don't trust R. White at all. |
|
Oh yes:
Overall, I just liked seeing the city organically move toward more prosperity under mayors like Fenry and Adrian Williams, folks who supported development |
A lot of people will be surprised when T. White does better than R. White, but I won’t. |
