It is not uncommon for girls to move around to different programs to be with their friends or try to get more playtime. MC Elite would not be a step down from Stars. Most of their youth teams got beat pretty badly at at the summer tournaments. |
R u talking about their navy teams? I can tell you that statement is not true for their A (light blue teams) |
Does stars have two teams? If so, do they play different tournaments? |
Yes, at every age group that have an A and B team |
And they are not good at either level. Most of their A teams are mid B at best. Add in weak tournaments and weak brackets. Now with their 26 team gone, they will be even worse. |
Anyone hear about MC elite tryouts yet? |
My daughter heard today. |
Some MCE teams have another tournament, but today some of those same girls might have gotten bad news about their 2022-23 spot? Don't understand the timing of MCE having tryouts during the season when some girls might now be lame ducks for their last tournament. I guess they want to have the invites out prior to CLC's tryouts next week for the HS girls? |
What year? We haven’t gotten an email yet. HS team. |
What does this mean? Were some girls cut from their teams or moved down? |
Terrible club- head of it is completely a mess- 26’s had no coach for 5 months and then blamed the girls for losing and said they were “Uncoachable” |
They have some talent. The coaching staff needs to treat the team as a club team: conditioning, plays, and coaching them at all practices and games. Potential is there but administration needs to step it up. Not sure coaches will be but hopefully they truly want to be coaching and are there for the right reason. |
My daughter attended tryouts. We haven't heard anything yet. We're both teams formed? |
Many girls were not offered a spot and many were moved down. Actually smart by the club because too many of the players were truly recreational players and did it out of carpool convenience. Now to consistent coaching and strong leadership. |
Nothing wrong w/ carpool convenience when this should be fun for the girls and not bring too much stress on the family. it's a sport - fun!
That said, my daughter did receive an offer and we have never played with this club. I sure hope the coaching is consistent for the price. The girls deserve consistency and if not the case, then don't offer travel/club. Glad to hear you are being picky on who will make the team. Happy to have a well rounded team, but surely there are enough strong players to field a team of girls who want to be competitive and have their heads in the game. |
