Progress!

My only complaint about the drug tests is that they can be inconvenient to schedule and sometimes I struggle to pee on command. But I don't really have an issue with them.

OP here - they're not super inconvenient. I drink a gallon of water that morning and I'm set.

I guess I just wonder if the need for the tests across all stratosphere of work says something about a changing American society and the next generation of a qualified workforce being eliminated before they even have a chance.

An autopsy has revealed that two Woodlands High School seniors had fentanyl in their systems when they died earlier this month.

What does this have to do with pre-employment drug screening?

If the generation graduating high school and college are dying off before they can even take on entry-level roles, there’s no one to work the jobs.

And yes it’s a problem - over 100,000 Americans have died from a drug overdose in 2021.

Do you have reason to be concerned about the results, op?

Does it feel good when you wipe your ass with the Bill of Rights?

What does the Bill of Rights have to do with a private company requiring a drug test? The Bill of Rights applies to governmental power, not corporations.

I had to take a drug test in the military, and one time I was volun-told to be the guy who watches while the person is peeing.

I hated it, but I understand the need for it. Never had to do it for any of the civilian white collar jobs I've worked.

Maybe if you layed off the drugs for a little while, you could educate yourself on how dumb that response is. Which of those amendments do you believe apply to a private employer? Which amendment do you believe prohibits a governmental employer from screening potential employees for legal drug use?

Except for problem drinkers. But it does a good job weeding out productive MJ users, though.

Not really.

You could try man-ing or woman-ing up, being an adult and handling your life without getting altered with drugs.

It works for millions of us.

I work for the Government and just started the first job in 17 years for which I am not drug tested.
