How to research more Covid cautious private schools?

Good luck with that - I don't think such a place exists anymore every school I know is getting more relaxed about Covid... How about Fusion? - you can't get much smaller than 1:1 tuition!

Bubble School is anti germ as part of its mission.

Why do you need to be such a jerk? Do you feel good being a jerk? 🙄 This person is asking because they have high risk family members, etc and need more Covid careful school option. It doesn’t have to be mean. That’s just unkind. Let’s lead with caring and compassion for people who have health issues and disabilities that make them unable to be at schools with limited mitigation practices in place. This is a great community and would be greater if less sarcastic posts like yours were part of it. Be kind as if this person asking is your neighbor.

Our fairfax catholic school had similar protocols as FCPS all year. They did drop mask mandates earlier than FCPS, and at this stage only the minority of teachers and students still mask. There are still limited visitation interactions, and all parents that do visit must mask. They do not keep track of or report close contacts but they do list the weekly count (it's been zero for the past month).

I think come Fall 2023, you aren't going to find any schools that do any more than post covid case counts and allow masks for those who need or want them. Maybe a super liberal tiny community in the NE or something like that? But, I can't see that being the norm around here or in most other places. Pandemic is over.

A lot of private schools have really scaled back their COVID measures this spring. I know of only one or two that still require masks. To me that was the last remaining guardrail. Our school was quite cautious but even gave up on masks recently (and we’ve had an uptick in cases).

Admissions deadlines have not passed for fall 2023.

Our k-8 had all these mitigations in place, but has gotten rid of all of them at this point.

Same. Ours was amongst the strictest with every imaginable protocol in place. But the vast majority have been dismantled now and the last remaining vestiges will be gone by fall. I would be really surprised if there is even any regular covid testing next year.

You know what’s really freaking scary? Ultra antiseptic environments where no infection of any kind is allowed to circulate. The result? Superbugs and underdeveloped immune systems in kids.

Get a grip people. OP, continue homeschooling.
