She sees through Meghan exactly how I see her.
I just read this whole excerpt and I don’t get it. What are we criticizing her for? She was ambitious at work? She liked SoHo house? She tried to do UN stuff? She wanted to meet Prince Harry? I just don’t see a villain. She seems like an ideal Duchess.
She is a vain status seeking social climber. She has her eye on global fame and was maneuvering towards that her whole life.
Not exactly the profile you want of someone who married into the monarchy of another country. It speaks to her true motivations. Fame and self aggrandizement.
Literally every person who marries into this family is a social climber. Kate’s mom is a coal miner’s daughter. You think she just accidentally married up like 30 social classes? Prince Philip was a broke, stateless “royal.”
Why in a sea of garbage people is Meghan the one singled out?
I’ll allow the question.
This thread is amazing as it shines a bright light on the baseless hate against Meghan. Everything——everything—-that’s being tossed around as an excuse to hate her can be attributed to many others in the royal sphere.
So, again, why is she singled out?
She's singled out for racial issues, but even beyond that, I think if she were white and arrived on the scene ready to bust her tail (as she has in other areas of her life) she would really show up most of the other working royals, primarily William and Kate. It would lead to way too many questions about how she could support so many charities and show up everywhere, all the time, and highlight they do the absolute bare minimum possible. She could rock the boat and they don't want too many questions about why they hate working. Honestly, think she would have thrived in that role if there had been a willingness to work out a path for her, but there were too many other big egos at play.
