The average woman can’t afford to raise kids on her own.

Thats what child support is for. Go after the deadbeat.

How do you do that with an anonymous donor?

That’s not the only way to have children.

So women should have children with a deadbeat (or any random sperm donor) on purpose and then put him on child support. Just for independence’s sake. Huh. That might be one of the dumbest things I’ve read on DCUM. You guys really, really hate men.

I know two women who wanted to be single mothers, but not raise their children without resources, so they went on sites where married men seek affairs. They still pay child support but neither wants custody (I believe in both cases the man’s wife is in the dark to this day).

Not saying it’s “right” but it does happen. Which should be yet another cautionary tale for men not to cheat.

Oh yeah the wives will never suspect the thousands a month missing from their husbands paycheck to pay for child support.

In an adequate wealthy family? $36,000 or so a year could easily be disguised in investment accounts.

Doesn’t child support scale linearly with income? So it will always be a significant factor. I recall a friend making 750-1M a year owing 60k a year in child support. Kinda difficult to hide.

If you go the court route yes. In a situation as described above it’s typically a private settlement, and yes someone making millions will be paying out substantially. Look how often it occurs in sports/celebrity circles. There’s a reason.

When I was 35 I was single. Met DH online and married after 10 months of dating. Fast forward 15 years and we’re happily married with 2 kids. Things can change fast!

I echo everyone who says to treat dating like a job. About two years ago, I had an epiphany - I was constantly whining about being single, complaining everyone was getting married but me...yet barely made an effort to meet anyone or go on dates! OP, it sounds like you're making an active effort, but I'd encourage you to try online dating. For me personally: I made a goal to go on one date a week, and didn't let conversations on apps drag on more than a week. First dates were always drinks, so they didn't have to last long if one of us wasn't feeling it.

Fast forward two years...and I just went ring shopping with my lovely significant other. Good luck OP!!

I doubt this is true. Any woman that would do this is so conniving that I doubt you have personally come across two such psychopaths.

Why would it be any worse or more conniving than the man having an affair?

I’m not defending affairs but do you seriously not understand the difference between two consenting adults having sex versus one of those people tricking the other into having a child against their will so that they can steal $500,000+ from them over the next 18 years?

It's okay OP you can keep waiting for the right man. CBN found her perfect match at 54 (him being 59).

Whatever you do, don't compromise.
