Are you seeing a covid uptick?

Some of us need to travel, and we already lost 2 years.

You have not lost anything. And you don’t need to travel, you want to.

Tell that to people who haven't seen their family in over 2 years. Except for our nuclear family everybody is abroad. But I guess being able to see family means nothing to you.

I have not seen my family. I rarely see anyone s I cannot risk Covid. Except groceries or pharmacy, I have been home. My kids are in virtual. I have lost far more than most.

Eh, maybe? Who knows. I’m feeling fine and have no plans to test. Only in DC (and maybe Portland?) are people so uptight about COVID now.

I think the people who are most concerned are those of us:

-Caring for an elderly or immunocompromised loved one
-Have an infant or toddler with health issues
-Can’t travel if we test positive

LOL no the most uptight people I know don't fall into those categories at all. They're way too Covid-cautious to travel!

Neat anecdote. And totally irrelevant.

Sounds like a personal choice. Nobody forced you to do these things yet you are acting like you need a badge of honor for how much you have given up. You still have your kids in virtual?? Why are you doing this to them?

Op here. En route to the pediatrician for a covid test. Sigh.

The family that sent sick kids to school earlier this week until the school sent them home later that morning has apparently bounced back and can enjoy their spring break travel. The kids who got sick later in the week/now, not so much.

Why wouldn’t we? Be thankful you don’t have my health issues. My kids already lost one parent, isn’t that enough? Will you take them? Of course not! So, it’s in their bests interest for me to stay alive.

What condition do you have that would make covid so devastating to you?

With that thinking though you would have to stay home/keep them in virtual school forever. Because there are other things that can kill someone other than Covid (it's amazing how people seem to forget that people got sick before 2020). So is it just Covid you are scared of? Because that's anxiety. It's not rational.
- signed someone who's entire vaccinated family got Covid TWICE (including a baby) and just had the stomach virus a couple weeks ago and would take Covid over that every single time.

Around these parts, it is moral superiority.

Covid is such a farce, people are not getting sick , it's the positive tests inconveniencing everyone. CDC needs to update the guidelines to symptom free, no tests needed

My kids are pretty sick with covid right now. The vaccines are a farce. And don't tell me how much worse it would be without the shots.

There are great treatments for COVID now.

Honestly, I can't think of one person I know who has had Covid in the last month. Late December/January, knew 12 families who got Covid within a 2 week time span like so many others. I'm going to mask again if needed and be cautious, but right now, just not seeing it..

Yes. That stomach virus. It was horrendous. I will take COVID any day over that.
