9 new cases at our MCPS elementary school.
And I’ve heard from several super covid safe friends that they recently tested positive. Anyone else seeing an uptick? |
| Yep, and I’ve been saying it for a few weeks. Broadway and off-Bway shows have closed in the past week too. Lots of people in DC political scene have it. |
| Pelosi |
| I was just thinking things are super quiet but I’m in NoVa. No cases at either of kids’ schools in over a week. |
| Uptick is nothing to be concerned about. Let me know when the slope gets higher. |
| We are in Michigan. |
|
No.
During holidays yes, now in moco no. |
| Everyone’s just asymptomatic now. |
Isn't that the goal? |
Which is terrific unless you are trying to travel and must test negative. |

Why are people even discussing anecdotes when public health data could not be easier to get?!
Fairfax county April 1, 7 day average: 104. Yesterday it was 127. |
+1 In a region in which people are relatively healthy and vaccine/booster uptake is high, this is the absolute truth. |
| DS’s friend and coach have it now (unrelated) and there are a handful or cases at both my kids’ schools after many weeks of none. My SIL’s entire family also has it (though not in DMV). DD in college had it recently and felt pretty miserable and couldn’t shake it, so I’m tired of hearing about how it’s just a mild cold. It’s still circulating and just like we wouldn’t want to catch the flu, we don’t want to catch this. I think it’s harder to avoid now because people aren’t testing or isolating. |
| We have friends in MoCo who have it now. Don’t know anyone personally with it in Nova right now, but I’m sure it’s around. People just aren’t testing/advertising as much. I refuse to travel w/a testing requirement so staying domestic until they get rid of it. |
Even if some people get moderate cases, we can’t continue testing/quarantining/isolating forever. |
