Glorious video of unmasked Youngkin being yelled at by constituent in grocery store

Did Youngkin’s security touch her? There was no need.

No one with Youngkin's team touched her, but nice alarmist touch.

Wear your mask. No one says you can’t. That isn’t what is happening. But you shouldn’t get to tell me that I have to wear a mask forever. No one has researched the affect of masks long term on asthmatics. But I can tell you my sons asthma was gone before the Covid masks. No meds or episodes for two years. Now he takes maintenance again twice a day. So your personal issues are guiding your choices and mine are guiding mine. Yours are not more important to me than mine. That is the deal.

I have asthma and wearing a mask has had absolutely no effect. Same with my brother who has asthma.

I'm glad for you. What is your job. A lot of us with white collar work have been able to stay home or go to an office and remove the masks when we are alone. Not kids in school. Mask is on all day except for 15 or so minutes during lunch. And my kids were lucky enough to have a school that opened for most of last year. So he has been wearing a mask for 8 hours for about 8-9 months of the last 15. Can you really say that about yourself and your brother. UNLESS you are a teacher or work in retail, I doubt it. Even doctors go into their offices and remove the masks for a time. NOT THE KIDS. It is criminal.

You don't speak for everyone Drama LLama, I've yet to hear one kid complain about wearing a mask to school, or anywhere really. It is just something they do if they want to go to a friend's house, to school, or into the grocery store.

I think masks are really annoying and couldn't fathom spending all day in one. I am lucky enough to have been working from home for almost two years now. The reason why I find them annoying is psychological.

I have a whole lot of years behind me in which I never had to even think about wearing a mask. Kids, mine included, especially elementary kids, not so much. When you've only been on the planet 7-10 years, wearing a mask for going on 2 years now, really isn't a big deal. It's a habit and a small price to pay to be able to resume elements of normalcy.

And yes I do wear a mask when I am going into public spaces. It is such a small thing and I am an adult and able to endure a bit of psychological discomfort in order to do my part. Because I recognize that wearing a mask doesn't equal giving up my freedoms, not even close, it helps to limit my exposure levels to a virus that has made a lot of people very sick. I have been lucky in that I haven't caught it yet, nor has anyone in my household. I have bigger things to worry about, masking up for the good of my community is a very small ask.

Criminal is all of the nutty parents projecting crazy onto their kids. Own it you and all of your fellow book banners, mask banners, and history banners are total loons. I've never seen anything like this embrace of chaos and conflict. Honestly, you people are taking years off of your lives.

I don't like Youngkin and I don't like mask shaming on either side.

I just don't think this sort of antic does anything for the Democratic cause.

Well said.

I love this woman and am glad she exercised her freedom of speech guaranteed to her by the Constitution!

"Read the room, buddy!"

Youngkin - what a maroon!

Man-baby Youngkin does not want some woman telling him what to do. Entitled rich boy.

I am sure you anti-maskers don't wear seatbelts either, right?

This is a pointless analogy. A better one would be do you people who are vaccinated, boosted, and still wear masks ever drive on the highway or above 40 mph? If you do you are putting your life and other people’s lives in danger in the name of convenience. Are people who drive over 40 mph in the name of convenience selfish, antisocial, bad actors who should be shamed? If you don’t think so you shouldn’t be shaming people who don’t wear a mask in an era where deaths from Covid for unvaccinated children and vaccinated adults are a fraction of the traffic deaths in this country.

What does Alexandria and read the room have to do with anything. Is Alexandria a mask wearing tribe? What are the risks to the triple vaxxed, how does that compare to flu and other viruses, how exactly effective are a lot of these masks?

The pandemic is not over and you and other anti- maskers/vaxers are fools and should you get Covid, no medical help for you.

If you can not follow the rules and laws as governor why should anyone else?

What rules and laws?

Is there a law that says you have to wear a mask in Alexandria?
Is there a rule?
No and no.

Youngkin may go down as one of the worst governors in Virginia history. And that is not a short list.

No laws about wearing a mask. But it sounds like Youngkin isn't much of a politician if he can't read a room
Or if he's scared of wearing a mask because his rabid base might come for him.

See..... this is why we just kind of turn our backs and giggle at people like you.
You don't know that pp is an anti-vaxxer. In fact, based on her comment, she is vaxxed. Triple vaxxed.
And, you probably don't realize and won't admit that Covid-19, or some variant of it, will be around for the rest of your life.
Perhaps having a mask surgically implanted on your face would be the prudent thing to do.

So, then don't criticize him for not following the laws.
And, it seems to me he was reading the room. Nobody at his round table was wearing a mask.
And, the only person that seemed at all out of sorts was the crazy nutbag who struggled with self control. I might add that the mask covering her piehole does NOTHING to prevent the spread of this virus. It was loose, ill-fitting, and we have learned that these cheap cotton masks are useless at this point.
