Is Ginni Thomas A Threat To The Supreme Court?

This was an excellent and very long article. One of the reporters has three Pulitzers. 90% of you won't bother to read it but it's chilling how many irons she has in the RWNJ fire. She sure is caught up in anti choice zealotry for someone who never bothered to have kids.

Clarence needs to retire. He's corrupt and should have recused himself numerous times. He was allowed to revise years old sworn financal statements to reflect $700k in income from organizations with business before the Supreme Court. If The Court wants to regain the faith of the American people they should clean themselves up.

“ Ginni Thomas, who turns 65 on April 25, did not respond to requests for comment, and Justice Thomas, who is 73, declined to comment through a court spokesperson. In a posting on a private Facebook group for her high school classmates, Ginni Thomas wrote that “a NYT reporter” might have “contacted you looking for stories, etc on me. This reporter seems to have been told to write a hit piece” and “has knocked on many doors and written many emails. They all contact me and are not responding. 😁” she wrote. “Whatever. 🤷‍♀️” (The message was forwarded by one of those classmates to the reporter in question.)”

I enjoyed this paragraph. Someone doesn’t like Mrs. Thomas as much as Mrs. Thomas thinks everyone does.

13:17 again. I’m sorry, I could not get through the whole thing. It’s apparent that Thomas has absolutely zero business being on the Court when his wife is a political activist and they sell themselves as die hards who don’t compromise and who feel the same thing. He’s not a judge, he’s an activist. Which makes sense given the GOP’s projection about activist judges; they knew who they had on the court.

Et tu Forbes?

"Justice Clarence Thomas’s Wife Ginni Behind Group That Reportedly Pushed January 6 ‘Fake Electors’ Scheme"

https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2022/02/22/justice-clarence-thomas-wife-ginni-behind-group-that-reportedly-pushed-january-6-fake-electors-scheme/?sh=24dca1c9432d

"Thomas’ wife, Ginni, serves on the board of C.N.P. Action, the political advocacy arm of the right-wing Council for National Policy, which the Times reports circulated an “action steps” document after the 2020 presidential election that advocated for challenging the election results in Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

C.N.P. Action told its members to “pressure” GOP state lawmakers to appoint alternate slates of electors in states that President Joe Biden won, in an effort to get Congress to recognize those electors over the Democratic ones, claiming there was “historical, legal precedent” for doing so."

If they had succeeded the case would have most certainly gone before the Supreme Court.

I thought Forbes was a conservative publication.

They ARE a conservative publication. Nothing about this unethical BS is “conservative “.

If, however, you want to argue that the current Republican Party has re-purposed the word “conservative “ and does, indeed, stand for immoral, unethical, and criminal behavior, I’ll not argue with you.

No she’s not a threat. I happen to know her and she’s one of the kindest people I know.

Thanks Clarence but I think you are missing the whole conflict of interest thing here.

Conflict of interest, professional ethics, even morality. None of this means anything to the crazed right winger Thomases.

More on Clarence Thomas' conflicts of interest. He needs to retire.

Just read the NYT magazine article today and decide for yourself. Do you value voting rights for all, abortion rights for women, equal pay for women, punishment for sexual predators? Think about your mothers, sisters, wives, daughters.

It feels like something has shifted around Thomas’s conflicts of interests.

It’s fun-furiating to see the GOP hypocrisy in action.

Lol. Clarence Thomas is now concerned that the Court may become compromised. You can’t make this stuff up.

How much does he get paid to fly cross country and give speeches? I bet other justices do it too but it's unseemly. He's the king of unseemly in the Court right now. I have no problem with them giving free speeches to law students but paid speeches are a big way of paying off officials, as are book deals. He still needs to resign. He's had 30 years; time for new blood.

At least this one was public. Didn’t Merrick Garland’s seat give a private speech recently to an extremist organization?

Yesterday Ginni Thomas admited in an interview with The Free Beacon that she attended the January 6 protest but left before Trump spoke because she was cold. It was 43 degrees that day. I think she's trying to get ahead of something. I hope she knows her cell phone will reveal where she was and when. She further claims that she and Clarence have their own seperate careers and she intends to keep up her political work. Didn't she just fly with him to speak at a right wing conference? Thomas needs to retire. Her TPUSA partner bragged on 1-7-21 that they funded 80 buses to the riot, but deleted the Tweets. She insists she didn't fund them. Her whole shtick is fund raising.
