Ozark season 4 is out today!

This show hasn't been about making criminals likeable or pretty. I wouldn't watch it if it was another Sopranos. As others have said the acting sells this show. I hate this genre but once I watched one episode, I couldn't look away. I've stayed up way too late recently to binge watch this. I'm hooked.

She's lower class and openly reacts to things and is all about revenge but is Wendy any different? Wendy is better educated and dresses better but they are the same. Wendy manipulates people to kill for her. Wendy would have someone take out her husband if he became a problem and she'd be less upset about it than she was about having her brother murdered.

This is the last season right? Just watched the first episode and wonder who this is all going to end!

So much for "no spoilers". Thanks DCUM.

no one has spoiled the plot of this season - anywhere. there's speculation about what MIGHT happen, but that's different. you know that.

Beg to differ. Plenty of spoilers in recent posts.

My mistake -- I watched Season 3 before 4. All the stuff mentioned here happened in season 3.

Stand corrected.

I made the mistake of googling Julia Gardner and ran across spoilers. Ugh! I've been watching one episode a night and have 3 of the 7 left. Once the back half of season 4 airs, I plan to rewatch the series (after I watch the last episodes). And no more googling!

I love Martys character out of everyone else on the show. I feel like he's always trying to resolve the issues, live another day trying to get his family out of this mess, and everyone else just pulls him in deeper. Wendy has become such a villain. I have two episodes left in the half season and think every episode has been great so far.

Marty:Ruth as Walt:Jesse
Wendy:Ben as Walt:Jane

I think I fell off around towards the end of season 2. I'm going to start over with Season 1 episode 1. Not sure why I ever stopped watching,

Probably because it is stupidly predictable and Jason Bateman's unlikeable personality shines through his character.

his unlikable personality? he's probably the most likeable character! Also love his dry tone, it's almost humurous.

Jason Bateman is just annoying now. I mean if you interacted with his character in real life, you'd know in a split second that he's lying 99% of the time. He's so bad at flailing and trying to act when he has to come up with impromptu lies.

I love his matter of fact tone of voice. I find his occasional stammer cute. The character is brilliant. Brilliant people don't behave or talk like average people.

Yes I agree. Also his warmth, a familial warmth towards Ruth is unwavering.
I agree that Wendy is 100% unlikeable now. She had saving graces before, but since she had Ben killed it's like she has become entirely 1 dimensional and just nasty or manipulative, or both.

Charlotte suddenly being aligned to Wendy doesn't ring true - and is a mechanism for showing the gulf between Wendy's relationship with each of her kids. Jonah is one of the best characters (and actors) in the show, however.

I'm interested in the 2nd half of season 4. I predict the PI is going to try to take Wendy down for the murders of Helen & Ben.

PI guy will most likely get murdered.

And continues to be so. A fired LA cop who’s looking for something to do?

No emotion, instant BS, totally self serving. Like and extreme aspie.
