I’m in VA and was able to get scores earlier but am now getting the message that scores won’t be available until tomorrow.
I'm also getting that message

There was an error at our LCPS school and none of the kids have their scores, even though they got the email saying it was ready. The birthdates are off for some reason, and they can't access the scores.

I'm a newbie. How does the PSAT score correspond to those scores?

DC got 1480. What does this score map to in that link?

You have to look at the individual section scores and google online calculator to convert. My hunch is a 1480 is right at the NMSF cutoff and it will depend if the cutoff is closer to 222 or 224 for this area (assuming you are DMV).

You need to know the individual scores:

"To determine who qualifies for National Merit, NMSC uses a scale called the Selection Index. To get this, NMSC adds your Math, Reading, and Writing section scores, which each fall between 8 and 38, and then multiplies that sum by 2. Thus, the PSAT NMSC Selection Index ranges from 48 to 228.

" You cannot directly calculate a Selection Index from a total score (320–1520)"

My Md/mcps kid has not (I signed up for copies of all emails to him from College Board). Like some others he saw his score yesterday due to that glitch/eaely release, but neither he nor I have gotten an actual email from College Board announcing that his scores are available.

223 selectivity score. Should be good for semifinalist? We are in MD
That’s assuming last year 224 score was an aberration

Mu child's scores seem to inaccessible for now as well. I think there is some sort of matching issue with her account so she needs to wait until she gets the email (which hasn't arrived yet).

Just log onto College Board site. It converts the NMSC index. My DS got a 1490, which equals 222 so presumably a 1480 is around 220-21 depending on how is score breaks down. By it's on the website, so no need to do it yourself.

Why is everyone so focused on email? Just log into College Board account...scores have been there since yesterday morning!
