I'm royally confused by this article. I think we need to disregard it! |
Oh I figured something was wrong with the info..but what happen to JW?? Did he attend the funerals?? Another thing the new lawyer said people would be shocked to see who is involved??Is the lawyer saying Wint was involved and so were others??? <<In an interview Tuesday night, Hanover told ABC7 since he had just been hired, he couldn't yet give an overly detailed explanation related to Wint's defense. But he did talk a about the belief by police that one person could not have pulled off the crime alone. "{Wint} believes that once people begin to understand who else was out there and what was going on, they're going to see him in a very different light," Hanover said. "I think it's fair to say that he feels at this time that he was definitely set up.">> http://www.wjla.com/articles/2015/06/man-charged-in-d-c-mansion-slayings-due-in-court-has-new-attorney-114804.html |
Read that too. One of the commentors below the article questioned if the article made a mistake in the wording and meant to say he did. It is one isolated article on that very aspect so not sure of the credibility of it. |
Never thought of the toilet --- Now that you mention it seems obvious but totally would not have thought of it before |
Unless suspect talks with CREDIBLE info or others are arrested ---the public's focus really seems to remains on the one suspect in custody with the DNA. All else seems to be just talk and smokescreens to deflect attention off of suspect. I imagine that public's perception has not changed b/c of talk by new lawyer. Evidence rules. |

If they found Wint's DNA, why haven't they found other DNA at the scene?
Sounds like the cousin was involved too... |
Ok.... from the link:
Who are the “officials” who said ICE was never notified? Are they ICE officials? Makes me wonder if they were never notified OR if they never ACTED on the information. Big difference. Looks like CYA to me. |
I was thinking about it last night and it occurred to me that if DW was the only one perpetrating the violence at the S's home, he would not have ordered TWO pizzas. My husband loves pizza but he would not eat more than one whole pie in one night. On the other hand, wasn't there some left over? Maybe a one-person's-appetite amount was eaten....hmmm. I think there is a clue in the pizza quantity--how much was ordered, how much left over... |
I agree that there's a lot of CYA going on in this case. That this demented evil being was not deported is tragic beyond belief.
I'm comforted that more of wint's dna has been recovered from the scene. That both wint and his cousin left AIW the same year is quite the coincidence. And that the cousin had a restraining order against him for threatening to burn down AIW? Unbelievable. Horror lurks in the background of this case. I agree with the comment above that maybe it's the cousin who is involved, not the brother. I thought one article had said a relative "was recently let go" from AIW, but it could well have been bad reporting. RIP Savapoulos family and Ms. Figueroa. May you have justice. |
The threat of burning down AIW seems relevant with the actual burning down of the family's home. |
CNN is going to do a special report on this case at 9:30 tonight. Apparently they are going to discuss new details about the case. What new details are out there that the DCUM community is aware of? |
Thanks for the heads up, I will try and watch. Perhaps they will elaborate on the new details about the cousin and the additional DNA findings. Thank-you to CNN for continuing to investigate and keep these atrocities in the public eye. |
They likely have found a lot of DNA, but unless the person is in the "system" the wouldn't be able to immediately tie it to a perpetrator. DNA could belong to anyone -- SS family, friends, other visitors, etc.) DW had been arrested recently before so they had his DNA on file. |
Yes, thanks for the update. Really appreciate all the detailed work LE is doing. Don't know what that other lawyer can do for his client with so much strong evidence on the table against him. |
