Juliana ruined his plan. The 911 call, the letters, her testimony before… He prob wishes he would have killed her too that day.

I think one of the biggest errors, if the plan is as it is alleged, was including the request that Joe bring a knife. He had to have known his wife had a blood clotting disorder (maybe he forgot?) and that there would be people who would tell the police that there is no way that someone with a clotting disorder would be interested in “knife play.” That seems like an obvious error.

If I were on the jury, this would be a really important fact to consider.

I wonder what relevance that could possibly have?

Who is CW??

Has the prosecution straightfowardly said whether BB's plan was for Joe to look like an intruder and no one ever find out about the fetlife stuff? Keep it simple- joe broke in, attacked christine, and BB saved the day but christine had already died? That has to be it, I'm assuming, because if BB's plan was for everyone to find out about the fetlife stuff, then he could certainly explain why he killed joe (thinking joe was attacking her) but it couldn't explain why christine had ended up stabbed by joe. Because he wasn't coming over to stab her, he was coming over to presumably engage in consensual sex.

So, again, if BB's plan was for no one to ever find out about the fetlife stuff- that stuff was done solely to lure joe into the house to set up this "intruder" scene- isn't that pretty naive?? Like, of course the police will investigate who this intruder dude was. And they'll find out pretty quickly about the fetlife invitation to come over.

He did assume the telegram stuff would be found out. That's why he made the accounts from CB's computer and phone. Juliana testified they made sure to only use those accounts when CB was home, so that during the investigation it would be believed it was CB texting on the accounts.

Possibly testifying as to Christine’s blood clotting disorder.

IMO he prob thought they wouldn’t go so far into it. He fancies himself too much. Prob thought they’d just consider Joe as a loser that likely did that anyways and him as the special IRS agent saving his family
Scumbag….

So then how did he try to explain the fact that Christine was stabbed?? Was he hoping the police would assume that Joe went crazy and stabbed her instead of engaging in their consensual plan? I'd think, again, that would be a hard sell, given that there seem to have been a ton of character witnesses ready to testify that Joe did this fetlife stuff all the time without any issues, and that he was a nice guy.

It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter what people think. What matters is that they wouldn’t be able to place him as the one stabbing Christine.
Her family never believed his story, even before knowing about the affair w Juliana.
He never cared if people would believe Joe went nuts and stabbed CB. His concern was to make it believable through the evidences. CB invited Joe without BB knowing. Joe arrived first, Joe was carrying a knife, Joe discussed blood play, Joe discussed doing that before, Joe was more likely to stab her than him anyways.

Can anyone explain why the defendant’s lawyer keeps objecting to the photos that the witness had already marked but is okay with her marking them in the courtroom?

It’s 20 degrees out.

Sorry, but that is an extremely casual outfit for appearing in court.

Exactly. She doesn’t sound credible or confident and she doesn’t look like she’s taking this seriously. Wouldn’t you have your most senior people doing this?

Who is CW??

CW is the commonwealth - I think the PP means CB Christine Banfield.

Agree - how is there not a person on the team in charge of keeping track of the numbering of exhibits.

BB knew Christine had a blood clotting disorder. Any kind of stabbing could lead her to a quicker death than most. Her OB would know about this and plan for it in the event of hemorrhaging or a C-section.

^ AND clearly someone with the blood clotting disorder would not engage in knife, playing with a stranger! ESPECIALLY as a trained nurse, who knows the risks better than most.
