While many here don’t seem to care about Palestinian lives….will you care about Lebanese or do you want to make multi generational enemies of that country too?

8,000 Hezbollah rockets launched into Israel.

You want Israel to do nothing.

How many artillery shells, air strikes, and electronic devices did the Israeli use in Lebanon. The Lebanese have a right to defend themselves.

First of all, Hezbollah doesn’t represent the Lebanese people.

Second, yes — Lebanon AND Israel can defend themselves.

That’s how it works in every goddamn country in the world.

Hezbollah does represent the Lebanese. Hezbollah was formed to fight the 22 year occupation of Lebanon by Israeli- ie Hezbollah only exist because of Israel’s previous invasion of Lebanon.

Israel is at war with Lebanon. The one neighboring country that never joined in the attacks against Israel by other Arab countries. Lebanese people hate Israel for what he’s done to them.

Let me get this straight:

Hezbollah is Lebanon.

Hezbollah has launched 8,000 rockets at Israel since Oct 8, 2023.

But Lebanon hasn’t attacked Israel.

That’s completely logically incoherent.

We should just start a new calendaring system with Oct 7 being the new day 0, because apparently nothing that happened before then mattered.

Nah. Really it’s this:

When Hezbollah attacks Israel, it’s justified.

Iran is better than Israel. Doesn’t matter that they have a global network of proxies that have conducted literally hundreds of assassinations and countless terrorist attacks.

The Hamas attack was “exhilarating” (just citing a Cornell professor there).

Oh and Israel should disappear.

Israel attacked Lebanon first. Your willful ignorance of the facts show you are a Zionist extremist. Tell us how many air strikes, artillery shells, electronic device bombs, etc Israel has used against the Lebanese people? How many Lebanese have been killed since Oct 7? Israel is not “defending” itself. Israel is the aggressor as always.
I sincerely wish you and Israel much pain, suffering and failure in your invasion and occupational Lebanon.

If Hezbollah is justified in its actions then why do most Lebanese not support them?

I personally don’t wish anyone pain and suffering and it’s disgusting that you do.

Ok. So here’s what happened:

Hamas attacked on Oct 7.

Hezbollah launched rockets on Oct 8.

Can Israel defend itself?

And yet already the comparative death toll is approximately 12 in Israel and 300+ in Lebanon. WTF is wrong with you radical, extremist Zionists that you cannot get through your thick skulls that your bloodthirsty, disproportionate vengeance impulses are what create ongoing conflict?

I’m an American. I have exactly zero influence over what Israel does.

Yes no influence. Netanyahu wants the US to go to war with Iran. So the US will go to war with Iran spreading more terror, death and destruction throughout the region for Israel. Has any other country on earth caused as much misery as Israel?

Well I’m thinking about Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia.

But nah. Israel’s way worse than them. I mean, between the two they’re responsible for nearly 40 million civilians dying in death camp systems, but Israel is definitely way worse.

Oh wait. There’s also also Mao, who killed anywhere from 10-70 million people depending on which scholar you cite. It’s hard to pinpoint numbers because the Chinese authorities didn’t bother keeping records of who they killed.

Stalin and Hitler were very helpful in that they kept track of their victims.

you are very conveniently leaving out 100 years of history that predates 10/7

The course of action with the least risk of life lost is for Israel to declare a ceasefire in Gaza. Hezbollah has always said they iull stop firing into Israel when there is a ceasefire.

That's your takeawy from the message you quoted? Not the fact that "Hezbollah was formed to fight the 22 year occupation of Lebanon by Israeli- ie Hezbollah only exist because of Israel’s previous invasion of Lebanon."

Hezbollah is one political party in Lebanon

Hezbollah was formed by Iran. They used the excuse of the Israeli invasion to form it. Iran doesn’t give a crap’s butt about Lebanon.

Ah yes. Because before 10/7, Hezbollah was a peace loving bunch of hippies.

Anonymous wrote:So let me get this straight. According to you all:

Israel bad
Hamas good
Hezbollah good

So since Iran funds both groups, I assume you also believe Iran is good?

Not quite sure where you are getting this simplistic view.

Israel's current actions are bad since they are making things less safe for the world both in the short term (for people living in Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon) and longer term (for people in Israel and the US)

Hamas' actions on 10/7 were horrific and wrong. But previous Israeli actions led to the development of the group. Can't Israel learn from its past misstakes?

Hezbollah has also done some horrific things. But again ditto to the point above about Hamas.

Then condemn Israel alongside the rest of us who are condemning Hamas and Israel, but are cognizant of the fact that our energies should be focused on the only side (Israel) that has the power to stop the massacre and effectuate change in this ongoing conflict.
