Hundreds of people were injured in Lebanon today when their pagers exploded.

Among the injured is the the ambassador of Iran to Lebanon, who had one of the pagers, although he was lightly injured.

IDF has stated they have no comments on the explosions.

Casualty number is now over 1200 with three reportedly killed so far.

One of the people killed is a little girl.

Curious if the battery was overloaded and exploded or if these devices were manufactured with actual explosives in them. Quite serious security implications for the first.

The videos are wild. Rumor is the IDF hacked the supply chain and embedded explosive charges in the pagers which they then distributed to members of Hezbollah, likely through an Israeli mole.

Your statement make no sense. If you can supply Hezbollah with pagers you can also supply them with cell phone. Why would you blow up an active intelligence feed? No the Israelis are not sophisticated. They just blow everything up and really do not care about civilian casualties. The IDF has killed most of the hostages in Gaza. If that is how they treat their own what do you think they do to non Israel Jews?

You blow up the devices when you get word that Hezbollah was planning on replacing the devices with something else (likely Russian made devices). Thus, the intel feed has reached the end of its useful life. And hence the coordinated detonations of the Hezbollah communication network and their members.

The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon was injured when his pager exploded. I mean, that's comical!

NYTimes is reporting 8 deaths, 2700 injuries with 200 in critical condition in Lebanon. In Syria, pagers also exploded with 7 deaths in one Shia neighborhood in Damascus with strong ties to Hezbollah.

And in a further twist of irony, the identities of Hezbollah members are being exposed in the viral videos of the blast attacks and the injured being carried into hospitals. The identities of Hezbollah members in Lebanon is a closely held secret. So all these viral videos and photos is providing a trove of evidence for identifying them, which will help to capture or eliminate them at some point in the future.

How is this not an act of terrorism? From AP News reporting on the exploding pagers:

“ At overwhelmed hospitals, the wounded were rushed in on stretchers, some with missing hands, faces partly blown away or gaping holes at their hips and legs near the pocket area, according to AP photographers. On a main road in central Beirut, a car door was splattered with blood and the windshield cracked”
