While many here don’t seem to care about Palestinian lives….will you care about Lebanese or do you want to make multi generational enemies of that country too?

8,000 Hezbollah rockets launched into Israel.

You want Israel to do nothing.

How many artillery shells, air strikes, and electronic devices did the Israeli use in Lebanon. The Lebanese have a right to defend themselves.

Ok. So here’s what happened:

Hamas attacked on Oct 7.

Hezbollah launched rockets on Oct 8.

Can Israel defend itself?

First of all, Hezbollah doesn’t represent the Lebanese people.

Second, yes — Lebanon AND Israel can defend themselves.

That’s how it works in every goddamn country in the world.

The vast majority of Israelis and their elected representatives believe Israel should never have left Lebanon. Israel occupied 10% of the country for 22 years. Free land is great to give to your voters. What could go wrong?

Want to put some evidence behind that claim?

So let me get this straight. According to you all:

Israel bad
Hamas good
Hezbollah good

So since Iran funds both groups, I assume you also believe Iran is good?

And Egypt occupied Gaza for decades.

Russia occupies Ukraine right now.

Countries occupy other countries a lot. It’s kinda a thing that’s been happening for … I dunno … as long as humans have divvied up land.

Hezbollah does represent the Lebanese. Hezbollah was formed to fight the 22 year occupation of Lebanon by Israeli- ie Hezbollah only exist because of Israel’s previous invasion of Lebanon.

Israel is at war with Lebanon. The one neighboring country that never joined in the attacks against Israel by other Arab countries. Lebanese people hate Israel for what he’s done to them.

Hezbollah definitionally is not in power in Lebanon. They have 15 seats in the Lebanese Parliament.

Let me get this straight:

Hezbollah is Lebanon.

Hezbollah has launched 8,000 rockets at Israel since Oct 8, 2023.

But Lebanon hasn’t attacked Israel.

That’s completely logically incoherent.

Israel is definitely worse versus Iran. Just look at the number of people killed, number of terrorist acts, number of countries invaded, number of assassinations, etc.

Hezbollah’s support comes primarily from the Shia population, which is a third of the country.

Sunnis and Christians mostly don’t support them.

That’s why Hezbollah only has 15 seats in the Parliament.

Got it.

So as Americans, we should align ourselves with Iran and its proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah, etc).

By doing so, we would be lending credence to Iran’s allies, the most prominent of which is Russia.

Someone has no idea that Iran has a long history of assassinating opponents around the world.

Iran also has a nasty habit of sending people to try to conduct assassinations in the USA.

From the State Department:

Since coming to power in 1979, the Iranian regime has been implicated in assassinations, terrorist plots, and terrorist attacks in more than 40 countries.

Iran’s global campaign of terror has included as many as 360 targeted assassinations in other countries, and mass bombing attacks that killed and maimed hundreds.
