This.

“We have to save democracy from Trump…..but first let us throw out 14,000,000 votes and drive an elected POTUS out of office with a vicious rumor campaign.”

I’ve been a Democrat since 2000 but this is height of hypocrisy.

Oh well. George Clooney's vote matters more than yours .

What a selfish decision by Joe & Co. He has a 30% approval rating, and blue states are now in play!

And, yes, I’m a Black woman who wants to vote for someone under 60, FFS! 70, even! I’m so tired of hearing that Black people want Joe. No one asked me.

I’ll never forgive Joe for this selfish BS.

This!!! Co-signed black woman in her 40’s. We dont want joe!

How do you feel about Kamala?

Totally fine. I’ll vote for any dem that is under 75

Will be voting for whoever is on the democratic ticket

Yes because you're a good little minion.

What’s the point of democracy if Dem donors know better than everyone else?

I wonder who they will blame when their little switcheroo doesn't work either.

Democrats at impasse as Biden digs in amid mounting calls to drop out

Campaign chair says Biden is “absolutely” staying in the race as 11 more Democrats urge him to withdraw, setting up major clash next week.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/19/democrats-biden-withdraw-clash/

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. — At least 12 more Democrats called on President Biden to drop out of the presidential race Friday, a rapidly escalating effort that came as his campaign reiterated in no uncertain terms that he would be staying put. The tense standoff set up a pivotal clash that is expected to intensify this weekend and could reach its culmination next week.

Biden is “absolutely” staying in the race, campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” calling him the “best person to take on Donald Trump” and suggesting that the growing angst among top Democrats about Biden’s candidacy does not reflect the broader sentiment across the party.

We know you're not actually a Democrat. Go ahead and keep pretending. Harris will win.

What did I miss? Why are people blaming this on Gen X?

Because the soft coup against Biden is being led by the donors to NextGen Dems PAC.

The public shaming by the media is getting crazy, but I don't think Biden is dropping out.

People have to realize he has this underdog mindset: it's him vs. the world.

"He has always felt underestimated."

They will say this till the minute he steps down. It is of over. If not it will get very brutal.

If he doesn’t drop out I wouldn’t be surprised to see them invoke the 25th amendment. Can’t wait for the next episode of this reality tv.

Why shouldn't Trump do this. He's just as old and delusional and really likes to golf and winter in Florida! He's the ideal retirement candidate.

Stop whatabouting. Just stop.
Trump is no spring chicken but Biden has crossed that line from old to “too old”. He seems feeble and weak. He seems confused.

Trump surviving the assasination attempt has catapulted him to look “strong”. Biden cant compete with that. He can barely walk up steps.

I hate trump with every fiber of my being but Biden has to acknowledge he is winning zero independents with this perception and losing dems who are not enthusiastic and will stay home. NJ is in play for Gods sake. NJ!!

Did you watch Trump's speech last night? He sounded not only old, but stupid and insane, as always. Biden had a bad debate. Fine. He's still mentally sharper than Trump. And regardless, despite what a couple of people on this thread think, no one wants President Harris.

Trump is old and much slower than he was. Heck, the Republicans even highlighted Trump's decline by showing the famous Oprah interview Trump gave decades ago about running for president.

But the idea that Biden is "mentally sharper than Trump" is so delusional as to make me worry you're off your meds. Even the media is finally fessing up to Biden's decomposition. Trump ain't great (compare with JD Vance's ability to speak), but he's miles better than Joe.

I agree. Democrats can do nothing about the fact that conservatism is unable to surgically remove its Trump parasite. The GOP is now a MAGA zombie. All the never Trumpers have fled the party.

But Democrats can do BETTER than the GOP, and surgically remove Biden. He's a nice guy, unlike Trump, but he's even more physically impaired, which is saying something!

Harris 2024. We can do it.

How?

Simple. Biden makes a nice speech this weekend or next week, anointing Harris as his replacement on the ticket. Harris makes an even better speech, where we can actually hear every word and it makes sense, without any "c'mon", "folks", "not a joke" or "here's the deal".

The Biden/Harris campaign war chest turns over to Harris, since her name was on the accounts as VP anyway. Some repub lawyers threaten lawsuits, it leads to nothing. The DNC can always get the money back from the campaign and funnel it to a new ad-hoc Harris campaign if there is a lawsuit. Money leads to an ads blitz, and merch, and grass-roots local campaign efforts everywhere and especially in the swing states. Momentum builds for Harris and her VP. People are EXCITED to vote for a normal, sane person with all her marbles! First woman President, and she's an African-Indian no less!!!

We win the election, and reenergize down ballot campaigns. Blue sweeps everything. AOC and Sanders find they backed the wrong horse and get relegated to the back of the class.

No, they won't be. People don't like Harris and they don't respect her.

Anonymous wrote:Good point about this really ought to be the end of Biden’s second term right now. These same party leaders encouraging him to step down told him not to run in 2016. Who has better instincts?

I don’t believe anyone spewing the crap that Biden was pushed aside for Hillary. He didn’t want to run because Beau had just died.

I do believe it. Biden always trusted Obama and he was the one who told Biden to take more time to mourn his son. I believe Biden would have won. I voted for Obama. Recently, I think he’s arrogant and he’s allegedly one of the first to advise Biden to step down. Their so called friendship was one sided. Always felt like he looked down on Biden.
