How can you possibly be surprised now about his mental state? It’s been on full display to anyone willing to see it for the entire presidency.

Not sure if you're serious or just clueless. Because that's not so.

NY Post has been faithfully reporting on his gaffs for 4 years. The info has been out there. Some people think they are being virtuous by never reading the NY Post, but in reality they have just been burying their heads in the sand.

lol next your will site The NY Times or WSJ! It’s all part of the Murdoch/fake news empire.

More like I see aging and you all start screaming “it’s dementia! It’s dementia!” while continuing to support Donald Trump.

Biden can and does answer questions coherently, rationally and with details. Trump can no longer answer questions, at least not coherently and not on topic. Truly, anyone who supports Donald Trump has no business pretending that they see dementia in Biden.

If Biden drops out of the election now that all the primary votes have been cast, regardless of what happened at the DNC, Republicans will sue in every state, no replacement will be added to the ballot, and Trump will run unopposed.

Ballots have to be finalized by practically the end of August. Republicans will tie up the process in court for as long as possible, appeal the decisions no matter what, and the Supreme Court, which is controlled by Republicans and owned by right wing billionaires, will hand Trump the White House by issuing a ruling that takes the Democratic candidate for president off the ballot.

Project 2025 is already working. They've made abortion bans legal. They've protected Trump by putting him BACK on the ballot in CO, making it impossible to remove him via the 14th amendment, delaying his criminal trials until after the election, making it impossible to use evidence of his actions in office to convict him, and now if Biden steps aside, they're going to usher him into office the same way they did Bush in 2000.

And we only barely survived Bush. Democracy won't survive another Republican administration and having Biden drop out is a guarantee that we'll get one.

Yes, we made a huge mistake by nominating Biden in 2020 and we're suffering the consequences of that in 2024. Lesson learned hopefully

I'm honestly shocked

I have absolutely no idea what happens next. There wasn't an immediate endorsement of Harris

I do not find it odd at all that he needed a "cheat sheet" or photos of reporters. The pre-approved question thing started before Biden at R & D town halls. Press conferences are different. Some people are not as good extemporaneously. I do not see that as a smoking gun.

What I personally think should happen if questions are provided ahead of time is that all the submitted questions should be revealed -- both the answered and unanswered ones. There is something to learn from the questions that are not answered.

What is clear is that at the end of Biden's presidency is that he is slowing down. He needs more sleep, help moving, etc.
