Nope.. The Valor coaches get to select some auto invites to IDs. The NVA coaches already know the kids they are interested by word of mouth. Unless your kid does some messi level crap, they generally they are from other ECNL clubs. There is only one girl I know of that has an open offer. No boys that i know of. Again Ellis needs to fix this. It’s not an alliance.

Inviting a number of kids to an ID doesn't mean they'll make the team. 1 per team is the MO of NVA

I mean, come on. GFR is part of the "alliance" too and they arent making the teams either.

GFR is not part of the alliance. Not sure I would even use the word "alliance" at all. It's really just LS.

Try 1 per all age groups per gender. They dont want the Valor kids. GRF likely pulled out for same reason. DRs is just for show. Again Ellis needs to fix this. Out just pull out of alliance.

Why would he care? The point is to get paying customers by dangling the pathway. By the time people realize its BS, he already has their money for the year.

They certainly don't advertise how few kids make the NVA team.

They dont advertise how many kids via ECNL or GA dpnt make teams. Some parents have false expectations of their kids and I feel bad for the kids

To the parents of the U10 Valor 2014B Blue team at the PWSI Icebreaker Tournament this weekend:

Don't yell "Handball!!" every time it touches the opponents' backs, bottoms, shoulders, stomach, etc.

Don't yell "Handball!!" for clearly unintentional touches.

Don't yell at 7, 8, and 9 year olds on the opposing team to "stop faking it" when your kids take them down with unsafe tackles and full extension pushes.

Don't yell "Yellow card!!!!" and "RED CARD!!!!" every time your kid loses a tackle or challenge.

***AND DEFINITELY don't yell "Oh you don't have yellow cards in basketball" to the tall, African American referee.***

Your behavior is rubbing off on your kids. They hear you. They are echoing your words and mimicking your tone on the field to the ref and to their opponents, including taunting. It's bottom-bracket U10 soccer. Chill.

Thats embarassing, isn't "blue" like the 6th team?

Is the icebreaker a rec league tournament?
Anonymous
It’s definitely a lower level tournament. Mostly mid and lower level teams entered.

Some moving of coaches and some communications issues, but our daughter loves her team and teammates and for us it fits. Each child is different and each family has different goals for their child. If at some point it doesnt work, we will look other places, but most times the grass isnt much greener.

Everyone who has posted in this thread who left Valor had proclaimed the grass is much greener.

When we left there are definitely things we miss.
The location of the fields was great. The quality of the fields were great. Now we drive significantly farther away and practices are much later. That's about all we miss.

However having a coach who wants to develop players makes the longer drives and late weekdays worth it.

Please tell me what club you are at and recommend??!

5th. Mostly rec players but your close. Lol

I think 5th is the lowest, they don't have any age groups with 6 teams.
