Those parents sounds insane. |
This depresses me so much, mostly because it isn't really that unusual. |
Revolting. Ref should have stopped the game and made those parents leave. |
Coach should have made the parents shut up. |
I think the coach of that team is a really young guy. I'm pretty sure I have seen the team practicing at Sully, and was surprised at the parent (dad) behavior during what looked like a scrimmage against another Valor team. They were doing all kinds of yelling and sideline coaching. If they were like that at a practice, I can only imagine what games must be like. I wondered at the time why the coach wasn't telling the parents to shut up. I'm guessing he is nervous to do that because he's like 20 years old and so new to coaching. If I were him I would quit and tell one of the crazy dads they can have the job. |
Does it cost the same price to play on the 5th team with mediocre rec players and a college age coach as it does to play on the 1st team with a real coach?? |
Same price of course LOL |
Have a little empathy people. Its killing those egomaniac dads that their kid is on the tenth team and wouldn't even start for a rec team. They have to let out their rage somehow. |
I live for the refs that do make delusional screaming dads go sit in their car halfway through the game. Doesn't happen a lot... but it's amazing when it does. |
+1000 more need to do that for sure. Its a favor for the kids. |
It happened last season. It was great to see. Though I'm sure the ride home with daddy dearest was not a real fun trip for the family. |
Its not unique to valor get over yourself. Sounds more like a bitter parent whose team lost. Unfortunately both bad parents and bad refs exist everywhere. And we will see the same complaints every year. Try going to a HS game. Those parents are so much fun. |
Who said it was unique to Valor? |
+1. Why do you think those parents had so much rage inside them. |
The days of different level teams within an age group paying different amounts on the club fees are pretty much gone. A few may still offer it but the trend has gone to standardized pay where everyone is getting same days of training and access to resources. The main differences tend to be the level of the coach assigned and the level of league they play in. Even leagues are pretty equal across the board. |
