Valor

They are a good regional club and as with most clubs you will find positive/negatives. They are a result of CYA and SYA merging a few years ago. If you live in the Chantilly, Centreville, Fairfax, or Dulles (Loudoun) area this is a good medium size club. They do feed into NVA with Loudoun so there is a pathway to national league for the younger kids. Older kids, NVA teams are mostly established so they may add 1-2 players a season.

Exactly this

Does every club have a token angry Scottish coach?

Its a huge club, not medium sized, what crack are you smoking? They have age groups with 5 teams. Teams 3-Teams 5 are just money grabs. Those kids should be playing rec.

Nonsense. The NVA teams are almost entirely Loudoun players. That is just a marketing scam Valor set up.

It's a dumb theme. Why are they running tournaments for rec kids anyway?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Same, the price difference was around $1000, we stuck with Burke.

I heard he quit but never heard why. But having had a kid who was there for 1 year, I can easily imagine why…

Saw one of their black teams playing (which is the third level they have, and I guess they have even lower teams?)-they looked less skilled than my daughter's old rec team. How do they have even lower teams than that and who pays for that?

I bet some the NVA teams don't even have 1 Valor player on them.

This is par for the course at every club around. Go watch any clubs 3rd team or lower and you'll see it's typically the case. Arlington fields 4-5+ 'travel teams' per age.

The Arlington/Alexandria 5th teams are usually better than the Valor 3rd teams at least in our child's age group.

I'm suspicious when these soccer guys bounce around so much and leave places so quickly.

Yes, one bad fit and quick move is normal. Over and over again = the problem is you.

This can be said about players and families that bounce around, too.
