Are you going to delete the instagram app from your device too, since that’s the source for these scandalous pages nobody should ever view? |
For someone comparing different schools, this threat is actually very helpful. |
| GDS and Sidwell both with some impressive commits recently. Wharton is Wharton. Purdue engineering is no joke either. |
You could say the same thing for Saint Andrews Harvard is Harvard.. |
Huh? SAES has one Harvard so far and only one other Ivy. Sidwell has 2 Harvards so far and over a dozen other Ivy schools (not to mention MIT and Chicago). You’re not really trying to compare are you? Even Maret that has only posted 31 has 2 Harvards and 5 other Ivies (plus Chicago and other top schools) |
If the list of matriculations is what you’re using to decide on education, that rather proves the point that private ed is a d***-waving competition more than an actual education. |
Never heard of a “d***-waving competition”. |
Public schools make these lists too, FWIW. |
Yes there are a couple on in the master list. Churchill: https://instagram.com/beyondthebulldog2023?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= (https://instagram.com/beyondthebulldog2023?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) And BCC: https://instagram.com/bccdecisions2023?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= (https://instagram.com/bccdecisions2023?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) It would be interesting to see Whitman and WJ's, too. |
You're missing my point. |
You have to look at these list from the standpoint of percentage of total student body. Whitman and Churchill have huge class sizes, so having a spattering of kids going to top schools should be expected. But looking at percentage of total student body matriculating to top schools, you will find that the top private schools blow public schools out of the water. |
+1. This thread is not good for the mental health of our teens. |
Actually I disagree...I think it should be pinned to the top of this forum. Some very helpful information that people can reference easily when researching schools. |
|
No, Ncs was more extremely impressive.
/s I am sorry I participated in this. |
It is not helpful. Where your kid gets in and chooses to go to school will be what it will be no matter where they go to high school. These list are not predictive of your child's outcome. So how is this helpful to you? |
