You are in luck. Here is his Mirandized statement:

That’s nice.

I’ll still wait to see him say it on a witness stand in a courtroom, preferably on-camera, before I give anything any merit.

At this point, I’m officially calling troll. Your purpose is clearly just to goad and not to learn the truth.

Makes no sense, but this is Depape's statement and the man is mentally ill.

Clearly Pelosi was drunk and his skirt was too short. He was asking for it, he shouldn’t have been walking home alone, his decisions are suspect and he should have known better than to try to get the weapon away.

I don't understand. I think Depape, who's giving the statement, can't be trusted to accurately state what was going on. Explains a lot of the confusion. There were police officers at an open door and Pelosi was away from Depape. He could have simply left the house at that point to safety. I simply don't understand why both men had their hands on the hammer AFTER the police arrived.. I can't imagine that they both shuffled to the door, with their hands on the hammer.

If you can find a way to make sense of this, please share. I see it as the ramblings of a mentally ill man.

Federal trials are not televised, so you will never believe anything. I will pray for you and yours.

Do you doubt that the charging documents accurately convey DePape’s story or have you not had a chance to them yet? An excerpt is posted above.

NP. I believe Depape went in with intent to go after Nancy Pelosi. I also believe that he is not of sound mind, so his statement is also altered.

Anonymous wrote:Yes, it was politically motivated. From the FBI's charging document, Republican/rightwing talking points and messaging in bold:

In a Mirandized and recorded interview of DEPAPE by San Francisco Police Department Officers, DEPAPE provided the following information:

a. DEPAPE stated that he was going to hold Nancy hostage and talk to her. If Nancy were to tell DEPAPE the “truth,” he would let her go, and if she “lied,” he was going to break “her kneecaps.” DEPAPE was certain that Nancy would not have told the “truth.” In the course of the interview, DEPAPE articulated he viewed Nancy as the “leader of the pack” of lies told by the Democratic Party. DEPAPE also later explained that by breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions. DEPAPE also explained generally that he wanted to use Nancy to lure another individual to DEPAPE.

b. DEPAPE stated that he broke into the house through a glass door, which was a difficult task that required the use of a hammer. DEPAPE stated that Pelosi was in bed and appeared surprised by DEPAPE. DEPAPE told Pelosi to wake up. DEPAPE told Pelosi that he was looking for Nancy. Pelosi responded that she was not present. Pelosi asked how they could resolve the situation, and what DEPAPE wanted to do. DEPAPE stated he wanted to tie Pelosi up so that DEPAPE could go to sleep as he was tired from having had to carry a backpack to the Pelosi residence. Around this time, according to DEPAPE, DEPAPE started taking out twist ties from his pocket so that he could restrain Pelosi. Pelosi moved towards another part of the house, but DEPAPE stopped him and together they went back into the bedroom.

c. While talking with each other, Pelosi went into a bathroom, where Pelosi grabbed a phone to call 9-1-1. DEPAPE stated he felt like Pelosi’s actions compelled him to respond.

d. DEPAPE remembered thinking that there was no way the police were going to forget about the phone call. DEPAPE explained that he did not leave after Pelosi’s call to 9-1-1 because, much like the American founding fathers with the British, he was fighting against tyranny without the option of surrender. DEPAPE reiterated this sentiment elsewhere in the interview.

e. DEPAPE stated that they went downstairs to the front door. The police arrived and knocked on the door, and Pelosi ran over and opened it. Pelosi grabbed onto DEPAPE’s hammer, which was in DEPAPE’s hand. At this point in the interview, DEPAPE repeated that DEPAPE did not plan to surrender and that he would go “through” Pelosi.

f. DEPAPE stated that he pulled the hammer away from Pelosi and swung the hammer towards Pelosi. DEPAPE explained that Pelosi’s actions resulted in Pelosi “taking the punishment instead."

The FBI hasn't been a stellar organization when it comes to the truth lately.

Something is left out of the account, to be filled in by Pelosi when he can respond. Sounds like Depape reacted to the police arriving, wasn’t going to surrender, so maybe he went after Pelosi as a hostage and Pelosi tried to grab the hammer. Does it really matter?

Let the MAGA-splaining begin in 3.....2.....1.....

They are going to say the FBI is "compromised" and "trying to make MAGA look bad."

It's never their fault, you see. MAGA are simultaneously the true patriots and victims.

Do you believe that this man, with a history of hard drugs and severe mental illness, as told by all his family, friends and neighbors, was not altered that evening? He specifically stated that the wanted to take a nap because his backpack made him tired while waiting for Nancy. That's not sane behavior. Might be for leftists?

Regarding the FBI, they have a tarnished reputation that needs improving.

Yes it matters. "Maybes" do not. The police stated that when they entered the door, Pelosi and Depape had their hands on the hammer. Telling us what Depape said happened (the man talked to aliens and fairies) as opposed to what the police observed and what their body cam shows is different.

His testimony from his own mouth is out for you to read, how will you move the goalposts now?

DP — To be clear it is not a transcription. However, I believe the FBI agent who prepared the statement document was honest and accurate.

The FBI typically doesn’t record and transcribe interviews. Agents take notes from which the prepare a “302” summary.

Thanks, hot shot. The PP said that what was documented was “from his own mouth” which implies that what was written was verbatim. I accept that the agent was honest and accurate but that PP was wrong.

You are being ridiculous. Depape was trying to stop Pelosi from opening the door for the police. Pelosi had one hand opening the door and the other on the hammer. That’s when the police walked in. Pelosi obviously wasn’t away from Depape when he opened the door if the first thing the police saw was them wrestling for the hammer. Stop being a conspiratorial idiot.

No you won't deide then or if you do, you'll find something suspect about his testimony. Or his testimony won't be public and so you will say that it not being public, even if it is legal protocol is suspicious of a coverup.

It's called "moving the goal posts" and it's the hallmark of a conspiracy theorist. You are convinced already and anything to the contrary and there is no evidence, ever, that coud possibly be presented that could convince you otherwise of what you were already determined to believe.
