Alonso’s half of women polled are pro-life. The percentage between men and women is only 2%. There’s half a chance the people lobbying for pro-life are women.

So it isn’t incels. I’m divorced and dating a great woman. So I’m not some incel. I’ve dated women from all walks of life from Ivy League grad to basic state college, different races and political views. Americans, Israelis, Latino and Europeans. If politics would come up there were plenty of pro-life women.

Why do you think you have any say with what happens to women’s bodies?

If a woman chooses to have sex with a particular man, and she gets pregnant, then he becomes part of the decision-making process. That's one reason it's so important for truly self-empowered women to make responsible choices. That's how she gets to control what happens to her own body.

A DECISION to keep the pregnancy. A CHOICE.

A DECISION to think about the possibility of getting pregnant and taking necessary precautions before having sex. A CHOICE.

It always comes down to slut shaming. It’s at the heart of every birther’s debate.

PP here. You honestly think it's slut shaming to suggest that women think ahead? That's not what I was saying at all. To be truly self-empowered, women need to think ahead re all kinds of things and make good decisions---financially, education-wise, having safe and protected sex, choosing partners carefully, etc.

The human brain isn’t reliably making good decisions, until well after age 20. But go ahead and pray on it.

I don’t. But almost half of women think the baby has a right to live and not he murdered. As a man if the child is mine I have half a say as wel

71% support Roe v Wade.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/nbc-wsj-poll-support-roe-v-wade-hits-new-high-n893806

https://news.gallup.com/poll/244709/pro-choice-pro-life-2018-demographic-tables.aspx

Still almost half are pro-life. Meaning they don’t support unrestricted abortion. Most are ignorant to what RvW really is. Both men and women are largely ignorant.

Furthermore, the man does have a say if she’s pregnant. It’s his child too. And it’s a human growing inside of you . That’s why when a pregnant woman is murdered the accused often gets two murders charges - one for the unborn infant

He can have a say when he can take take the embryo and gestate it himself.

Then have protected sex. The amount of failure rates of birth control measures is very small. Women don't like to take responsibility for their own actions, it's seriously an epidemic.

You had sex, the child is both of yours, he gets a say.

“Protected sex” = contraception, which can and does fail.

PP here. Of course, but that doesn't mean women shouldn't try to make wise decisions for themselves; and it's certainly not slut-shaming to suggest it.

Who cares what happens in Alabama?

This will just make that state worse and we can laugh even more at it.

You're an idiot. A simple DNA swab or paternity test can prove that. We already have the means.

I've been reading a lot of the #youknowme stories and they're just proving the point of anti-abortionists- that abortion is being used as birth control. .. rather than women taking the initiative to protect themselves from pregnancy in the first place. "Oh I can just have my fetus killed because I'm not ready to be a mother."
If abortion is not an option in these cases you better believe there will be more responsible bc use.
Also, a D&C because of miscarriage is not an abortion by the laws definition.
The # was created to reduce the shame and stigma but it's pretty appalling.

Research pretty well proves the opposite -- liberal access to reproductive healthcare in all forms (abortion, birth control, sex ed) reduces unwanted pregnancy and abortion. European countries prove this over and over again.

Actual research is not consistent with what you are saying. Anecdotal stories on Twitter are not academic research.

Europe is more restrictive...I'm ok with that
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_law

Despite a wide variation in the restrictions under which it is permitted, abortion is legal in most European countries. The exceptions are Malta, Northern Ireland, and the micro-states of Vatican City, San Marino, Liechtenstein and Andorra, where abortion is illegal or severely restricted.[47][48] The other states with existent, but less severe restrictions are Poland and Monaco. All the remaining states make abortion legal on request or for social and economic reasons during the first trimester. When it comes to later-term abortions, there are very few with laws as liberal as those of the United States.[49] Restrictions on abortion are most stringent in a few countries that are strongly observant of the Catholic faith.[47]

Most don't allow second trimester - but only under certain circumstances

Most countries in the European Union allow abortion on demand during the first trimester, with Sweden, the UK and the Netherlands having more extended time limits.[4] After the first trimester, abortion is generally allowed only under certain circumstances, such as risk to woman's life or health, fetal defects or other specific situations that may be related to the circumstances of the conception or the woman's age. For instance, in Austria, second trimester abortions are allowed only if there is a serious risk to physical health of woman (that cannot be averted by other means); risk to mental health of woman (that cannot be averted by other means); immediate risk to life of woman (that cannot be averted by other means); serious fetal impairment (physical or mental); or if the woman is under 14 years of age. Some countries, such as Denmark, allow abortion after the first trimester for a variety of reasons, including socioeconomic ones, but a woman needs an authorization to have such an abortion.[50] Similarly, in Finland, technically abortions even just up to 12 weeks require authorization from two doctors (unless special circumstances), but in practice the authorization is only a rubber stamp and it is granted if the mother simply does not wish to have a baby.[51]
