I hate Disney. Haaaaaaaaaaaaate it. I often think DH and I are the only parents who feel this way.

I have a friend who thinks I didn't vote for Obama - and draws the conclusion (point blank) that I am racist. She tells people that I am racist. (In reality, hubby voted for McCain, I voted for Obama, but we didn't want people to know). Instead of saying "none of your business", we transposed our votes. This "friend" treats gossip as currency. In truth, it's kind of fun to give "bad" information to her! So now it's a game.....
Sick, huh?

We have friends we think are terrible parents. They probably feel the same way about us. At least we pay attention to our kids, don't make up excuses for their ill behavior, and don't constantly have fights in front of the kids like they do. At least we try to do a good job.

Wow. Same here! I went to Disney World with my DH and kids. I saw a lot of annoyed parents' faces there -- the lines were super long when we were there and it was so crowded. Then I come back and everyone is still acting like it's the best vacation place ever. I did enjoy the character meals, but I would say that 80% of the time we were in line, walking to a place, or on some sort of transportation. Very little time spent on rides. And my kids liked the carnival type rides -- the ones you can find anywhere, not anything fun for adults. Sigh.

"Guess what guys, I am the one who wrote about the Mclean moms! I am telling you these women can make you so jealous! So today my boss called her friends to meet up at Tysons, they are going to the Gucci store! I decided to stop feeling jealous and just sit down online since the baby is asleep. To the post that adviced me to go to school so I can have these things, well my boss is a university graduate but sitted at home, shopping and all these things! Isnt this a waste of Education? Her husy makes alot of $$$$$$$$$$$ in DC. she doesnt have to work or use her brains...she is enjoying life but I secretly feel that she should be put on one of these T.V shows for shopping and spending addictions plus surgery addictions. I love Mclean moms but I also love to hate them, no offence please... "

Nanny, you have no idea. I'm a McLean mom who has fired Nannies just like you. I won't have anyone in my house who thinks they should be in my shoes after how hard I have worked for what I have. Husbands want someone with a brain, not someone whose looks will just fade in a flash. This is the part you don't get.

Not saying either of you are right, but how do consider sitting at home or shopping with friends hard work? Cause that's what the nanny you answered was complaining about. I agree, a nanny should not judge the people she works for, but you've fired more than one nanny because you perceived they were jealous of you? Really? And you really think ALL men favor brains over looks? Sounds like you do a lot less shopping at a lot more sitting around at home. Frankly, I think your post is made up.

We have a disabled baby - she will never walk, talk, or feed herself.
We are good people and have never felt that parenthood constitutes a system of rewards or punishments.

Thank you for bringing me back to Earth and making me realize what is truly important. I'm glad that you and your child have each other to care for. For whatever you may not have, it does sound like you have lots of love in your life and you already know it.

I'm not the PP or the nanny who posted before, but I agree. I'm a single mom, worked my ass off to graduate (no help from parents) and work my ass off 50h/week at work. I grew up poor and I can look around in my apartment and honestly say EVERY SINGLE THING I own and every single thing I have money to spend on is thanks to me. TO my dedication, my hard work, my sleepless nights trying to figure out how I'd pay my bills, my loans, my rent and still have money for formula and diapers. You married a rich guy. Get over yourself. You say you WORKED HARD? Are you kidding me? You claim yourself to be smart. So what? There are a lot of smart women out there who don't marry rich guys and don't spend their day sitting on their asses nor dedicate their whole time to spending money that their husband makes. You have a husband. You have a house. You have children that will never have to worry how the hell they're gonna be able to pay for college. You already have all that and you're gonna tell me that you worked hard for it? You'll never know what working hard means. And you should consider yourself lucky for that.

I am not the McClean Mom you are bashing (I arleady posted that I can't stand them) but PP, for fuck's sake, you know NOTHING about her or how hard she has worked for anything she has in life. You are getting yourself in a lather over a fantasy. You're the one who should get over yourself.

I confess I am so f-ing tired of the anger on these boards. It's a forum for DC moms for god's sake. It feels like so many people are out to get people. I get that as moms we are so tired of the ass clown who steals our spot at the Target parking lot and that we are sleep deprived and that we deal with annoying mother-in-laws. But the nit-picking - I'd much rather throw some mud in a ring and deal with it that way. So much more fun this bitchy cat fighting on a keyboard.

And before anyone says it, no I'm not in charge of what people say or post nor do I care. People can post anything they want. It's a freakin' confession thread and that's what I'm confessing.

I confess I was being a little bitchy myself-til I read 13:03. Brought my dumb ass right back to Earth.

My boss is an drunk. On a daily basis, I fear for the children's lives.

Thank you!

I am the McLean mom from earlier. WHO said I married a rich guy? Boy, you guys don't even deserve a response. But it could NOT be more true that you know NOTHING about me. But clearly, you are bitter with the PERCEPTION that I have more than you. Typical.

Maybe certain guys don't want a bitter woman? Interesting!

PP here. There is in fact more than one of us. Just to piss you all off. WHO said I own a house? Are you my accountant now? LOL!

The best part is that you think you know me. There are things that will never be revealed. You have no idea. Truly.
