Will he follow Pirro's D.C. initiative to refuse to bring federal charges for those who break gun laws?

Will he protect LGBT Virginians?

I do not like Jones, and his behavior is inexcusable, but at this point, I do not feel safe with anyone under the Republican umbrella.

Funny how the MAGAs skipped right over these questions.

Because they know Miyares is indefensible.

If you could clarify what those nonsense questions mean, maybe someone could give you an answer.

I do believe Mirayes will prosecute Jones if he turns those threats into action. I really do.

What threats are you talking about? Are you calling the 2022 emails threats? The emails were ill advised, but pretty clearly not a threat.

I disagree. I think what he said is worse than Jan 6. Wow, now I know what it’s like to sound like a lib.

Most normal people would be embarrassed to admit they support the creep.

I’m curious what are your thoughts about Donald Trump saying at a campaign event about Liz Cheney, “ Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it ... when the guns are trained on her face.” Or his “funny” birthday note to Epstein about what they have “in common”written on a sketch of a girls body. I’m not sure why you’re not raising hell about the many, many public statements made by Trump inciting violence. However, you’re very, very concerned about the impacts of these private texts.

Sure. He was saying she wouldn’t be such a war hawk if she had to go to war herself and deal with what our soldiers deal with. But I suspect either you know that but the cherry picked excerpt sounds words (unlike Jay Jones), or you’re too lazy to find the truth (which is more likely).

Here’s more of the quote, “ “I don’t blame [Dick Cheney] for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual, very dumb. She is a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let’s see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face.”. You can’t claim that every irresponsible and violent thing said by a republican is “taken out of context”. At some point, republicans need to take responsibility for their words.

You don’t need to take it out of context. Just take it in context. He’s not calling on her to be shot. He said she wouldn’t like it and wouldn’t be so eager to go to war if she was faced with what our troops were. Geez, the dems used to be against war. But I guess if Trump is against war, you must be for it.

So pretty much what Jones was saying about gun violence.

Hypocrite.

Negative. He actually said he would give him two bullets. Totally different. Against Hitler. Again, context. Dems always claim to be educated, but when it comes to 4th grade level skills, so many are terribly deficient. Maybe it’s 3rd grade you’re talking about. Context…

So dishonest. It wasn’t an actual threat. He was talking about hypothetical situation (clue: Hitler isn’t alive). And it was very much the same as Trump - would Rs support common sense gun control if they had to deal with it themselves.

What the heck do people need to see that a person like this should never hold any sort of public office. I feel like anyone who would vote for him after all this condones violence and that is NOT the world I want to promote, especially in VA where my family is. If someone made a joke like that about one of my kids, they should be arrested or have some sort of consequences. It is not a joke.

+1

And, please remember what "triggered" Jones to say all of this:

Todd Gilbert had given a nice eulogy to a Democrat. This was the trigger that caused Jones to go after him with such vitriol.

Troubling.

Dems see nothing wrong with this. That’s why they’re doubling down on him. Sadly, violence has become not only acceptable but welcome if it achieves their objectives. Don’t waste your breath trying to appeal to morality.

Republicans see nothing wrong with pedophilia and sexual assault. They doubled down on our current President despite (or because of?) his past here. If you cast your vote for him, that's the shame you need to forever live with. If these texts were from a Republican candidate, the candidate would just call it "fake news" and carry on.

Whataboutism. Cool. I’ll vote for something horrific because you voted for something that was trumped up as horrific, even though never proven, and was a campaign promise to get Trump…but it destroys your argument that you are superior people if you’re only doing something because the people who you call nazi’s did it first. Lol.

Wasn’t it Trump’s campaign promise?

Jones is hardly “horrific”. GMAFB.

We get it. You like MAGA.

Don’t you ever get tired of just yelling you are MAGA at anyone who does not agree with you?

Don't you ever get tired of defending pedophilia, criminality, and rampant corruption in order to protect one guy who won't even be relevant in two years?

Hmmmm I’ve never done any or those things nor am I a Trump voter. I just disagree that I am compelled to vote for Jay Jones as AG knowing what we know now. But I know, MAGA, own it, blah blah blah.

You are not alone. I didn’t vote for any of them. But I’m also NOT going to vote for this selfish idiot who should have dropped out long ago and never sought public office. Shows repeatedly reckless and poor judgement. And how is it not the same criminality and corruption to have staff on his payroll sign of on his fake community service. Something is seriously wrong with him.

You’re missing the point he doesn’t have to say “go shoot Liz Cheney” for his rhetoric to be dangerous. His choices of words encourage violence and his actions encourage violence, over and over. Trying to claim that he’s not encouraging violence because the awful things he’s saying are out of context is ridiculous.

Sadly, we have a president who is almost assuredly a pedophile and the Republican Party has control over the evidence of the crime.

Here’s the fault with that logic for many people though: I’ve never voted for Trump and would never vote for Trump. The fact that other people have voted for Trump despite him saying batshit things is not going to make me vote for someone else who has said batshit crazy things just because he’s anti-Trump.
What about all the batshit crazy things that Trump has done? You can vote for the candidate that supports Trump’s bat shit crazy or the one that doesn’t. Given what’s at stake for VA, much less for the country, I’m voting for anything that puts a bump on the tracks to slow down the crazy train.
Again, I never have voted for Trump because I think he’s crazy. I’m looking specifically at the AG for VA. I have lived in this state with Youngkin as our governor and Miyares as our AG and nothing terrible has happened to us as Virginians that our AG or governor could have prevented (the same as Wes Moore and Anthony Brown in MD). Now we are likely to have a Dem governor in Spanberger (who I am more than happy to vote for) so I just am not seeing what benefit there is to voting for Jay Jones who is absolutely unfit to be AG.
