Yes the people celebrating this on this thread makes me sick. I just know it’s the same people that make fun of prayer.

Hateful lot. Why do you think the country is swinging right?

MAGA are the most hateful people on the planet. They hate everyone who does not look or worship like them. I certainly didn't wish anything bad to happen to CK even though I hated him, but he was a hateful individual. I've listened to many of his talks.

I posted above that I’m not a fan of his, but I don’t think he’s hateful.

And your comments about MAGA? That’s part of the problem. I have family who are MAGA and none of your comments actually apply to them. When you believe stereotypes and let them create a skewed sense of reality, you get what we have now. People hate and don’t even attempt to discover the truth.

To Charlie’s credit, he speaks to people who disagree with him.

exactly, but this type of post is what outraged MAGA is calling liberal celebration.

No, if you are going to say liberals are celebrating, then post names and links. The allegations are otherwise baseless and infalammatory, which of course, is what the right wants.

Yep. 32 pages of comments and counting for the Charlie Kirk thread. No posts for the school shooting. Shows where their priorities are (entertainment as politics)

This thread is dedicated to the gun violence that he was part of enabling. The gun violence that those teenagers suffered today.

Because someone supports the Second Amendment and gun rights they deserve the death penalty? Got it.

He fully accepted that his vision of America will inevitably lead to such deaths.

I disagree with that trade off, but he did not.

It’s worth the cost right?

I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights" - Charlie Kirk, 2023

As a long time fan of his, I can affirm he would still stand by that statement even now.

He was murdered by a person. A hateful person that wanted him silenced.

And Charlie was full of love for everyone/s

you have to got to be joking. People who abhor violence are swinging to the side that supports guns and someone who said we have to accept that people will die in order for us to have access to guns? Is this a joke?

The right don't want to support healthcare which includes mental health. The right doesn't want to support any social welfare that would help people with mental illness. The right want to allow people with mental issues to own a gun.

GTFO

Keep telling yourself that and maybe you’ll start to believe it.

Was it a conservative that shot up a catholic school? Was it a conservative that murdered Charlie? Was it a conservative that slit a girls throat on the metro?

We don't know who murdered Charlie, so lets not jump to conclusions. And we don't know Decarlos Brown's political orientation, so lets not make assumptions based on race.

I would never ever celebrate anyone being shot.
And i am as quick to call for banning guns after this murder than any other. Almost everyone on this thread has expressed horror and respect.

Of course some people are going to say nasty things . When you spew as much hate as CK did, you expect that. But he did not deserve to be murdered.

We live in a sick sick country

There’s nothing wrong with this statement. There are unavoidable trade offs to living in a society with certain liberties. I’m very pro gun but still believe we need to do way more to prevent gun deaths (much stronger background check/licensing requirements like in other countries).

Then I guess Kirk was a martyr for 2A.

I have yet to see anything other than outrage at political violence and prayers for Kirk, on Blueskye/the left. I am curious as that what posts you are seeing that are causing problems for you.

Chris Kluwe reposted the “me sowing/me reaping” meme. Also lots of people posting that clip where he says “unfortunately we are going to have some gun deaths.”

As I said in my follow up, tasteless but not justifying it and most posts are rightly condemning.

Who?

A former punter for the Vikings.

+1 this is dysfunctional and chaotic.

Gun free zone

The irony of a man who supported everyone's right to own a gun speaking in a gun free zone, only to be shot to death in the gun free zone.
