Yes the people celebrating this on this thread makes me sick. I just know it’s the same people that make fun of prayer.

Hateful lot. Why do you think the country is swinging right?

MAGA are the most hateful people on the planet. They hate everyone who does not look or worship like them. I certainly didn't wish anything bad to happen to CK even though I hated him, but he was a hateful individual. I've listened to many of his talks.

This shooting is absolutely terrible. I also think the school shooting that happened minutes later is equally terrible and I’m furious that the gop is going to be exponentially more outraged by Charlie Kirk’s (entirely unjustified) murder than that of actual children.

Not all of us. I’m not a fan, but I’m a compassionate human being.

I’m also sickened by the hate all over this thread. Unfortunately, I’m not surprised by it. Reveling in anger is kind of what America does these days.

It’s going to be a very dark time period to look back on.

I’ll be praying for his family tonight.

This. I'm so disheartened by people basically excusing this shooting on this thread. It's shameful and I hope they never have to experience something like this, which is more grace they seem to be willing to extend to his family. Sending prayers to his family and young children.

There are not people "excusing" the shooting.

The left - elected and named officials, are uniformly expressing their outrage and sadness over this assassination.
The right, on the other hand are blaming crazy, violent liberals, Jews and anything else they want to bogeyman to use this for political expedience.

This is truly horrible (as is the school shooting in CO that took place today around the same time). His children will grow up without a father and no child deserves that.

If they don’t end up catching the shooter, I think there is at least some chance that this was an inside job to cause a distraction away from Trump and Epstein.

But we will wait and see. But I bet there will be more reprisals from the current administration than we normally see when schools have shootings.

you have to got to be joking. People who abhor violence are swinging to the side that supports guns and someone who said we have to accept that people will die in order for us to have access to guns? Is this a joke?

The right don't want to support healthcare which includes mental health. The right doesn't want to support any social welfare that would help people with mental illness. The right want to allow people with mental issues to own a gun.

GTFO

Keep telling yourself that and maybe you’ll start to believe it.

Was it a conservative that shot up a catholic school? Was it a conservative that murdered Charlie? Was it a conservative that slit a girls throat on the metro?

Yep. 32 pages of comments and counting for the Charlie Kirk thread. No posts for the school shooting. Shows where their priorities are (entertainment as politics)

This thread is dedicated to the gun violence that he was part of enabling. The gun violence that those teenagers suffered today.

I don’t understand. Colorado has the gun controls.

It is not either/or dumbo.

No US state has ideal laws. And no policies are 100% effective, but the contrast with every other developed country shows that what we are doing is not working.

I have yet to see anything other than outrage at political violence and prayers for Kirk, on Blueskye/the left. I am curious as that what posts you are seeing that are causing problems for you.

Chris Kluwe reposted the “me sowing/me reaping” meme. Also lots of people posting that clip where he says “unfortunately we are going to have some gun deaths.”

As I said in my follow up, tasteless but not justifying it and most posts are rightly condemning.

Who?

There’s nothing wrong with this statement. There are unavoidable trade offs to living in a society with certain liberties. I’m very pro gun but still believe we need to do way more to prevent gun deaths (much stronger background check/licensing requirements like in other countries).

Because someone supports the Second Amendment and gun rights they deserve the death penalty? Got it.

Kirk said we have to accept some people will die so we can have 2A. I guess you could see him as a martyr, then.

Pp is just gloating bc they think it’s funny Charlie was a supporter of 2nd amendment rights.

He wouldn’t have changed his position even if he knew he was going to be shot. He was unafraid of stating his views. He knew he was a target. If you were a follower of his, you’d know that.

No one think it is its funny. But noting someones words is at best ironic.

Seriously? Charlie Kirk's assasination is what got you here? He's not even a politician, just a talking head.

Someone killed him because they didn’t like the things he said. Someone with opposing views felt justified in assassinating him. That is dangerous for all of us.

The irony is that he welcomed debate.
This sickens me.

Ne he didn't. He's been dodging debates with Dean Withers and other young liberals, because for example Dean absolutely shredded his arguments on Jubilee. Kirk refuses to debate anyone with a clue.

If big balls “mugging” was enough to justify sending in the national guard to dc and I shudder to think whose rights being taken away this will justify.

They have the suspect in custody.

He was most definitely not my kind of guy, but we are devolving into a situation where regular shootings and attempts at political violence are becoming normalized or at least common, and I find that very disturbing.
