As of March 30, 2025, Donald Trump's approval ratings, based on the latest polls, generally range in the mid-to-high 40s (around 45% to 48%), with disapproval slightly higher in the low 50s (around 50% to 55%).

This results in a net negative approval rating, typically between -2 and -10 points across various surveys. Recent data shows a slight decline from earlier in his second term, with approval peaking at 48% in some polls (e.g., Economist/YouGov) and dipping to 45% in others (e.g., Reuters/Ipsos).

Disapproval has edged up, often exceeding 50%, reflecting challenges like economic concerns and controversial policies. While Trump retains strong support among Republicans and on specific issues like immigration, his ratings lack a traditional honeymoon boost and remain polarized, performing better than much of his first term but still underwater overall.

I'm sure this will help:

"I couldn’t care less,” Trump said. “I hope they raise their prices, because if they do, people are gonna buy American-made cars. We have plenty.”

Inflation jumping the shark, or something.

Americans held a 53% approval rating for Trump, according to the poll, which was conducted Feb. 5-7, while an overwhelming 70% agreed he is doing in office what he promised on the campaign trail.

Feb.5-7 is just 2 weeks after his inauguration. His MAGA cult members were still all happy thinking he was going to stick it to the brown people and libs ……and none of it was ever going to affect them.
To me this poll just says racist, sexist, and homophobic people are still happy being racist, sexist, and homophobes.

So instead of getting people to buy American by incentivizing the manufacturers to make better, more affordable cars…he is going to force us to buy American by eliminating all other(better) options. Great.

Trump’s head is stuck in the 1970s when MotorCity made those huge cars that everyone coveted. He probably doesn’t even realize how many “foreign brands” are made in MAGAland. Never mind about supply chains. What a twerp.

And he clearly doesn’t understand that American cars are made with parts that are made in Canada, Mexico and other places.

Trump has tanked our markets, decreased our 529 value, intentionally put us into a forced march towards a recession by starting a trade war with some of our strongest allies and made us a laughingstock globally.

Wtf is approving of this sh--show?

Actually MAGA is mostly going to be unhappy too. The difference is that for people paying attention, the results are all foreseeable.

For people who don’t follow the news closely, the results are just starting to ripple out and hit home. That’s why the town halls are full of angry constituents.

The problem is that Trump is more addled than expected. The business world thought he was bluffing about tariffs. There was a time that the market gyrations and bad economic news would have gotten a rise out of Trump. Now he’s solely focused on his Nobel peace prize and it’s trickier than he planned.

I am still so angry about this. It’s all he talked about this past campaign - the big beautiful tariffs that were going to solve every economic issue - and the smartest economic minds thought he was joking.

I agree. It’s incredibly frustrating. Wall Street was blinded by the tax upside and forgot to incorporate Trump’s words.

Let's see what tomorrow brings. Then we'll be able to say whether people are sitting on their thumbs or not.
