It is good to know there are people with a solid understanding of the issues and players involved. |
You guys arent even good at this. |
McKnight is acting like a deer caught in headlights. She seems frozen. Why was she considered the best person for this job. Her leadership skills suck. Does she even have any vision for where MCPS is headed? It seems unlikely that she will be able to right this ship.
She seems good at beaurocratic things like increasing the size of central office but not much else |
I understand this is DCUM, where many despise public education, but I'm afraid I have to disagree. She seems resolute and courageous. I'm so glad we have a strong leader like her in charge. |
It is stunning to me she felt empowered to use such clearly evasive wording. She must have known she would not be questioned. |
Sad you do not know what those words mean. Courageous would have been pulling Beidelman from Paint Branch before the Post article went online. |
So this is all because he got the job at Paint Branch. Sounds like retaliation when something should have been done years ago? Why didn’t you go to the post before he got the job if this was going on for so long? Why did the social studies teacher decide she changed her mind on the affair just like his admin secretary was found on his lap during late night hours and hung out every day after school getting drunk. |
Wrong. The Post did have this before he got the Paint Branch job. McKnight had ample time to pull the plug on his promotion, months in fact. She chose to promote him and leave him in the position. |
A resolute, courageous and strong leader who promoted a serial sex harasser. |
Yes, these incidents stayed back to long before she was superintendent. |
And the sexual harassment and bullying continued for three years after Dr. McKnight took the Superintendent reigns. |
More importantly, MCPS knew about the complaints for six years. MCPS had six years to investigate and deal with Beidleman’s misconduct. |
Why can't MCPS just release that damn report?! It's not a good look. |
If the IG turns up issues with other situations ,will they investigate them? At the moment I think they’re just looking at beidleman and processes more generally, but they may unearth a whole lot more if they’re connecting all the dots. Beidleman is tip of iceberg. |
Unfortunately the IG can only write a report (and any personnel related information can't be made public). Neither they nor the Council can force any terminations or changes to policies. Historically, school systems in Maryland have a nasty habit of ignoring IG findings. |
