I had a huge crush on Wills when he was young and still really like him. But even I will admit that he has not aged well and looks more like Charles every day.

The Windsors all end up looking like horses as they age.

I honestly would really like to see a really well done investigation journalism piece (by NYT or something) that explores the smear campaign conducted by Prince William & co. against Harry and Meghan. Something more impartial and unbiased and less emotional than the Oprah interview.

Charles actually looked better than William when he was in his mid-to-late 30s.

There is no smear campaign. The smearing is all done by people like you making nasty comments. Even Meghan and Harry threw everything they had but the kitchen sink at the royal family and still did not accuse anyone in the family of smearing them.

Can we stop posting giant pictures of William? This thread is about Megan and Harry. This is why this thread is almost 400 pages long.

So you want the NYT to write fiction?

Can we stop posting giant pictures and tweets period! It’s not necessary and makes the thread look ridiculous.

Contrary to what some of you seem to believe, you DON'T have to grin and bear being treated poorly. By the press? Sure. By the family? Hell no. No way. Not in MY family, let alone my in-laws. Many of you are ignoring the elephant in the room.

This isn't just about the press being meanies. Get real, please.

Exactly this.

I will never again believe anything written on William and the BRF if it’s written by the independent.

Is it though? Moving to another continent and then trashing the family on Oprah doesn't exactly make them look like victims of the family. It makes them look the opposite.

Harry felt let down by Charles? Because Charles didn't support him leaving, "abdicating". Because when Harry told Charles that Meghan was reliving Diana's path to death? Because Charles wasn't sympathetic to that. That's not victim hood.

Meghan suffered from culture shock, including the culture of dealing with staff. And, like a teenager, she decided to run away. Okay. It was a hard situation. And duty was no reason for her to stay and work it out. So running away made sense to her. And it's not victim hood either.

But why should everyone support her in that?

Charles has had decades long plans to slim down the monarchy. Perhaps because he knows at some point the British public might start balking at supporting the BRF and all the non-heir relatives. Also people forget that during the financial crisis a mob of angry brits attacked a car he and Camilla were riding in due to budget cuts to the university system. Obviously this was long before Harry met Meghan. So yea it is quite bizarre that he would be angry at Harry leaving before he could essentially fire him.

There's slim and then there's starving.

Harry wasn't going to be fired. Up until he bailed, he was the most popular royal. Alas, no more. Actions have consequences.
