Fairfax County Double Murder

To the poster who said the prosecutor should object to the leading questions-this is cross examination. He is allowed to ask leading questions. I’m actually surprised at how few questions have been leading. He is not as aggressive as some criminal defense attorneys would be.

But Tess knew about the affair, obviously.

Oooor she just sees CB as a terrible wife that was actually on that websites and then Juliana came along with all her support and started getting involved w Brendan naturally.

She moved into the master bedroom the next month. Her kid was a widow. Her grankid lost their mother. Under what circumstance is that remotely normal or ok?

He's not aggressive at all. He thinks he's being "smart" but he sounds like a dud. He acts like he can't understand her, but its clear as day what she's saying.

I think she is on the spectrum. Something or many things are not right about her.

I agree. I posted about the black and white thinking/responses above.

Is this woman dumb, or does she just have a terrible attitude?

She's on a ton of antidepressants and looks it.

I'm just catching up on her testimony from yesterday and the extensive Fetlife messages. I simply cannot understand the depravity associated with how long this was planned. How terrible for the victims and can you imagine watching this if you were one of the ones who asked for an in person meeting first?

Redirect by the prosecution was strong in my opinion. Wonder if JM is stonewalling the defense because she sure had answers ready and was more expressive with the redirect.

Well, you do have to remember English is her second language and the defense is not being exactly direct in his wording. She’s on the defensive. She knows he’s getting at something, but isn’t quite understanding exactly what he’s insinuating. Plus she is probably been told to say I don’t recall if she is not 1000% sure… And she’s taking that a little bit too literally. While, she can say I don’t recall the details but what I know is… she’s choosing not to do that.

I had the same thought numerous times. Weirdest cross I've ever seen in terms of the lack of leading.

WTH is he thinking. He should have pleaded and spared everyone.

Regardless of how much they can try to impugn her credibility, walking through all the details of communications, getting rid of phones, gun range etc.... you can't make up those facts, and you'd have to have the whole jury believe there's such a series of unlikely coincidences all adding up for him to be NG.

There is NO WAY anyone really thinks
1- Fairfax/prosecution made up the evidence regrading Fetlife/Telegram

AND

2- this woman is mentally capable of memorizing all of the 'discovery' evidence provided to her and reported it verbatim in her testimony.

If that's what the Defense is banking on, so long BB. So long.

I mean… I wouldn’t be surprised if he was telling his mom that him and CB were not ok for a while before the murder. And even if she knew they were having an affair or found out after she moved in, doesn’t mean she would automatically believe they plot the whole thing. Also, if she believe CB was on fetlife, I don’t think she would condemn her son for having an affair.
