Fairfax County Double Murder

She has to believe in her son's innocence. Also Brendan probably fed her a bunch of lies the whole time.

The defense's entire strategy seems to be "You can't remember what you ate or the exact time and date, so that means you can't remember anything about the murder plan" What a stupid take.

It’s possible he told his mom about his plan to murder CB in advance and she was OK with it because (1) she didn’t want her son to have to share custody and (2) her son would get all the assets plus possibly life insurance.

I wish we could create a group chat to discuss lol

Id pretty much bet my life she had life insurance both employer sponsored and probably supplemental. Being in her field and having those assets it would have been insane not to and Im sure he had it through his job for her too, hopefully they'll answer this during trial

If I'm reading this questioning correctly, defense has something up their sleeve about the time messages were sent and what Brendon was doing at the time based on his phone/computer/vehicle forensics. I assume the state has taken this into consideration. It looks to me like they are going to try to pin all of this on JM.

Wonder if he will testify.

As much as I hate Tess, I don’t think Juliana has a reason to lie at this point, saying Tess didn’t know about it. I believe she didn’t know about it and believed Brendan. Juliana has no reason to lie about that.

But Tess knew about the affair, obviously.

Oooor she just sees CB as a terrible wife that was actually on that websites and then Juliana came along with all her support and started getting involved w Brendan naturally.

She moved into the master bedroom the next month. Her kid was a widow. Her grankid lost their mother. Under what circumstance is that remotely normal or ok?

I mean… I wouldn’t be surprised if he was telling his mom that him and CB were not ok for a while before the murder. And even if she knew they were having an affair or found out after she moved in, doesn’t mean she would automatically believe they plot the whole thing. Also, if she believe CB was on fetlife, I don’t think she would condemn her son for having an affair.

With a 21 year old he employs?

Just remember that this lady has known CB since they were teens.

I agree she may not have know ahead of time, but why did she then threaten Juliana in jail saying "do you know what happens to snitches.."?

I think she is on the spectrum. Something or many things are not right about her.

I agree. I posted about the black and white thinking/responses above.
