Today was decent. Nutrition could have been better but sugar was not crazy. Going to try for a better week.

DH is not great but he has settled into an uneasy truce with his chronic issues. He seems to think a doctor is going to have some magic answer.

Time to jog!

Kate your daughter sounds awesome! So funny she’s a counselor to kids my guys age.

My kids LOVE their counselors. They just get so tired. Only a couple more weeks. I’m looking forward to our vacation.

I didn’t exercise yesterday but ate really well. Just had a carb heavy breakfast but going to try to balance out the rest of the day.

Good morning! Yesterday was great, right up until my daughter wanted a hot fudge sundae and I got one for both of us. Dumb. I didn’t even really want it.

But I had a good run yesterday and am heading out for my strength workout this morning. Have a great day!

Camp is tiring. Last week, though. She needs a break, too.

Kate, a sundae with your daughter is totally different than eating sugar for dinner or eating to deal with your emotions. I love having favorite food with my kids and will never give it up. Don’t regret it!

I have worked out before work the past two mornings (work isn’t quite as crazy this week) and I have been eating pretty well! Probably more carbs than I need but not a lot of emotional eating or sugar. I’ve been eating a lot of protein. I definitely do better the days I make a nice balanced lunch (like actually taking a break from work!) I’m quite proud of myself!

I did a good cardio workout today and I feel extra hungry already. I love cardio and running but I actually find it hard to eat well those days. Such a tough balance. Will try to stay strong.

You are doing so great! I’m impressed!! It’s normal to be hungry or on days you do a lot of cardio so just embrace it and stick with healthy foods.

I did well today with good protein and meals only. No added sugar except for whatever was in the sauce at my work cafeteria lunch. I did my run this morning and back to strength tomorrow.

And sharing a treat with a kid is important. Thanks for pointing that out. You’re right. 😃

Yeah July was not great and frankly August isn’t likely to be any better because we have a cruise coming up. I’m trying to focus on not overeating, regular exercise, and keeping the sugar on the low side. Limited success. Same as ever. Still, I have to believe that with both of us posting nearly every day since January, we have to be doing better than we would be otherwise, don’t you think? Hang in there.

I think July has been pretty good although there have been some fairly big fails in there. I went to an exercise class today which I love but is so hard to fit in. I ate badly yesterday but I think I’d been quite good for a week or so especially on sugar so I’m mentally calling it a cheat day and moving on. Have been sooo hungry today but have made reasonably good choices. I am very tired and will try to go to bed early instead of snacking…

Good for you on the exercise class. Glad you enjoyed it.

I ate a good breakfast and lunch. Then I bought lucky Charms and pop tarts and had a bunch of both. Think my period is on its way because I’m not sleeping well either. Perimenopause is a jerk.

I did walk today and I went to dance class plus strength stuff yesterday. I’m mad at myself.

Tomorrow is another day.

I did really well most of last week but had some indulgence at a special event yesterday. It’s very tempting to eat like crap again! I’m trying really hard to shake off yesterday and get back to healthy food. I’ve been exercising and that seems to help me stay on track.

I know that feeling of doing so well and then ruining the day in the evening. It’s so frustrating. I hope today is better.

I had a bad few days. I’m feeling blah in general. My back is stiff and my foot is tingling so I am taking a break from jogging.

I hate dealing with food. I’m not good at it.

Breakfast of peach, walnuts and a glass of milk. Have to write down what I’m eating because I’m getting very off track.

It can be a good week.

Had a big salad, a peach, and a serving of tortilla chips for lunch. Salmon, green beans and potatoes for dinner. Snack of popcorn and a spoon of peanut butter, and one pop tart.

No exercise. Feeling ok about the day.

Work is lighter and I had good family time. How’s things for you, Alexandra?

Hi Kate, sorry you have some injuries, that makes everything else worse.

I made cookies with my kids and then some one else sent over a huge batch of baked goods so we have too many sweets in the house. I had more than I meant to yesterday, and a cookie and a half today. Other than that I’ve been eating well and typically I follow about enjoying a couple homemade cookies (seems worth the calories) but not multiple days in a row. I wish I had more self control. The goodies were technically sent to my kids so I feel bad throwing them out because I can’t control myself…. Ahh!

Trying to focus on lots of protein and and produce and that helps some. I have not been able to exercise the past two days (this week will be insane with work) but I’m going to try tomorrow. Unless a kid gets me I will get up early I think.

The week is plodding along. I hope you managed with all the sweets in your house. I have gotten better at throwing stuff away. But it’s hard with family.

It’s been OK here. Generally healthy meals but I did have two candy bars last night as a reaction to stress. Otherwise had fruit, nuts, milk, beans, tofu and green beans. My period is on its way. We leave for vacation on Saturday. My back is better. Going to go for a short jog now.

Good point on the protein. I’ll work on that today.

Hi Kate, yesterday was not bad; I ate a lot of healthy food but also a bowl of lucky charms at bedtime. Probably didn’t need that. I didn’t exercise at all so I’m determined to get it in today.

Work is bonkers since I go on vacation next week. I won’t have my ideal bathing suit body but I am relatively fit and will enjoy the time with my family. Good enough.
