Loud ATV drivers at night? City government? Police?

What’s the deal with these people? Did they not get enough attention as children?

I think the better question is what is wrong with us that we are normalizing and let this happen in the residential areas?

Note that I’m ok with this pass time, just not where it hurts others or nature

Residents should stretch a dark cable across the street. The problem will begin to take care of itself.

If this is “diversity and vibrancy”, then they can go shove it up their ATVs!

Exactly. The fact that DC residents just throw their arms on the air is hilarious to me. If these people were coming down my street, I'd be on my balcony with a beebee gun every night praying they come through

I’m not sure it’s actually a law. I think it’s Bowser’s policy.

It’s the actual law. The “Bowser” policy of no chase is not her policy at all. It was introduced by predominantly white Councillors such as Nadeau. Without any thought to the broader implications. Talk about misaligned incentives.

I really like Bowser. I don’t like how DC has been under her. But she’s dealing with a flush of insecure fringe lunatics on the Council.

Sorry no chase is a policy. The point above applies. But it’s also an actual bill that passed.

The noise ordinance and illegal vehicles thing are extend DC regulations that we now have no means to enforce. We had one (1) quiet night and they’re back. On that night they tore up the Mall

Too bad the US Park Police and a secret Service didn’t get their hands on these low-lifes.

“No chase” meant that when some gamgbangers shot up John Eaton school 2 years ago (then a construction site; no students were present), MPD couldn’t give chase despite it happening just 4 blocks from their police station. However, the USSS police and the Park Police don’t answer to Bowser or the Wokes on the DC Council, and they nailed the criminals.

Do you have a reference for the law? I’m curious what it actually says.
