Did the police arrest anyone? It looks like they just chased them out. I assume these kids cannot ride their bikes home in 30 sec so they have to abandoned their bikes, run or walk away, or ride their bike home on the street, or be taken away in police car.

Paris has installed acoustic cameras. Photos, face recognition, fines.

I would work w manufacturers to chip each atv/motor so that it has a unique signature readable to the law enforcement. Or I would mandate the cops tag them on entry to DC such that disabling the tag disables the entry. I’d designate most DC no ride zone and automatically send hefty and progressively higher fines to the owners.

Or I’d chase…

Is anyone on the council doing sometging about these goddamned loudass cars snd bikes? We’ve lived on the same busy street for 20 years. Last three years it’s become unbearable. During that time they also narrowed our street with bike lanes snd a median. Hasnt helped. We’re literally being blasted out of our homes. The crime surge is bad enough. The noise adds insult to injury.

I haven't seen them in a while. It used to be a frequent occurrence, but I've only had one or two run-ins in the last year. That could be just me though. I am spending less time downtown now and that is where I saw them most.

Police should start using spike strips or other means to disable the illegal ATVs and dirt bikes. Might it cause them to wreck? Yep.

But wrecking is a risk these ATV riders already knowingly accepted while speeding and careening doing a wheelie recklessly and illegally through traffic, running red lights, riding straight into opposing traffic, playing chicken with other motorists and so on.
