Well, it's creative, but too politically motivated? That theory feels too poetic. For me the poetry is in how close, how close these beloved people came to being rescued, the steadfast dignity in Savvas' voice in the phone snip.. I do not think that this is the first episode of extreme sadism for whomever tortured the little boy over the course of 19 hours. |
I think what this man does have right is that it was "personal" for Wint. |

Very sad ..Police are don't their work at the home..yesterday WUSA9 had a video of the lawyers walking around inside

A court document also shows that police searched Wallace's 2009 BMW 128 vehicle parked about a block away from the Savopoulos' home. Police were looking for “large denominations of U.S. currency, bank money wrappers, a red lined bag, manila envelopes, banking documents from Bank of America,” but none of these items were apparently found in the car, according to documents Police swabbed the doors, the steering wheel and the gearshift of the car. Parts of the vehicle were also taken, which included the rocker panel and some parts of the trunk. Also seized in the search were SD cards, fast food receipts, backpacks, a GoPro camera and a MacBook Air laptop http://www.myfoxdc.com/story/29243914/court-documents-police-vehicle-search-jordan-wallace |
I completely agree... I saw the same report about paying back the Guyanese workers when I was researching... here is the person who posted on the Websleuths (I am not posting his/her entire post, just the part about Wint possibly feeling left out of a payout) Please bear with me here. We know DDW has connections to NYC and we are told his girlfriend lives in Brooklyn. It is also likely he has connection to the Guyanese community in NYC as well. On Monday, May 18, 2015 the New York Daily News reported: ...Nearly three dozen construction workers — mostly Guyanese immigrants — got back pay Monday totaling close to $1 million after a city probe found they’d been ripped off by their employer. The checks for the North American Iron Works employees — who worked on city schools and the Queens Museum from 2010 to 2012 — ranged from $382 to $73,801, according to city Controller Scott Stringer’s office.... Link: http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...icle-1.2227392 The announcement/press conference occurred on Monday, May 18th. In the photograph in the Observer article, NYC Controller, Scott Stringer is at the podium and he is surrounded by North American Iron Works employees. It is probable the knowledge of funds being recouped for the workers was disseminated among the community in the weeks or week before the May 18th announcement. DWW may have even known some of those receiving compensation. It is possible that DDW felt slighted, cheated, possibly jealous and became angry and volatile. With the timing of this payout, it is plausible DDW approach the SS family on May 13, 2015 to settle whatever he perceived was denied him or done to him. This wasn't a straight up, robbery, burglary related to greed. This crime was personal and unique to DWW. He was enraged, he escalated and exacted his violent revenge on this poor family. DDW DNA, blood evidence and likely additional evidence will assure either life in prison or if possible through case circumstances/locales, the death penalty. If the death penalty applies, it may still be life in prison because it's possible there are significant mitigating factors in his background and/or he is mentally ill. Although DDW will never leave prison, it is still hard to accept this dangerous man was free in the community to commit this horrible crime at all. Peace to those who loved the victims of this crime. |

| Isn't it possible that Wint acted alone? If he went in grabbed the child had them tape each other up, then had her make a phone call and wait for husband to arrive, overpower him which he definitely wasn't expecting. .. Why would Wint not give up accomplies, he has nothing to lose since his DNA has been obtained. The fact he didn't eat pizza, well e had to have something delivered, not alot of choices. |
It's hard to fathom his working alone, but I definitely think the scenario you describe is possible. For him to act alone would have required planning, something I'm not sure he is capable of . I understand Wint served time in prison in NY for something, does anyone know more about that crime? This article lists some of his past crimes, but doesn't mention him ever doing jail time. http://www.wusa9.com/story/news/local/2015/05/22/daron-wint-dc-quadruple-murder-suspect/27774899/ |
He didn't have to overpower SS because he had a big knife and a child to gain SS's submission and cooperation. |
He did jail time in Oswego, NY for stabbing a man. This site doesn't state period of incarceration but I remember reading elsewhere that he did 30 days. http://www.cnycentral.com/news/story.aspx?id=1207690#.VXO__kYlnVI |
| he did it alone. There would be other arrest by now. I really didn't want it to be so. How vulnerable we all are if one person can inflict so much horror. |

At the time of his arrest DW was accompanied by two women in the car and two men in the box truck one of whom was identified as his brother. Later it was stated that one of the men in the box truck was his younger brother, Darrell. He has another 30 y.o. brother with a history of violent behavior, http://www6.montgomerycountymd.gov/Apps/Police/News/NA_details.asp?NaID=834
When police searched the box truck two knives were among the items recovered. It has also been stated that in addition to his own firing from AIW, he had a relative who also had been fired from AIW. To put this together, two angry and violent brothers both with an ax to grind for what they perceived they were owed for unjust firings decide to seek revenge on SS and his family. They were prepared to leave no witnesses and armed themselves with knives to carry out the crime. How does JW fit in? SS's phone was trying to reach him at 11:46 but he did not receive the call because he was shopping at Lowes. Why was Savvas calling an hour after the money drop? Perhaps JW skimmed a few hundred from the cash delivery and someone noticed. |
| If your boss asked you to deliver 40 grand you would not take a few hundreds off the top and think he would not notice. You would get fired. It would not be worth it. |
I think I agree. There are SO many people looking for evidence in this case that if anyone else had suspeicions on them they'd have been arrested. |
SS called JW at 11:46am, but JW did not answer?? I didn't know this. Wow, I wonder what JW was calling about. |
