It was his son's birthday and I'm sure he thought it would be very special to catch a ball for his kid to bring home. Who would begrudge him that? That ball has no value other than the sentimental value. And it is absolutely a first-come, first-serve situation! Any mature adult would have seen where he was going with it and been like "oh good--it's for his kid" and felt pretty good about the whole situation. She behaved badly.

ALL THAT BEING SAID, I completely agree that the online harassment and doxxing has become a terrifying cultural phenomenon and no one deserves it. But if you generally behave like a normal, respectful human being, it is unlikely to happen to you.

He was absolutely WRONG.. It was her ball. He could have asked for it after the fact explaining it was his son's birthday but it was not in his section and it was in hers. I can understand why she was upset and she had every right to be.

Why is it ok for a man to do this?

Just own up and apologize already, this can’t be anyone other than the ball stealer.

There is no rule that the ball belongs to a section. The ball belongs to whomever gets their hands on it first.

She won fair and square. Why are the men so het up that a woman had the balls to confront someone and get the ball she wanted? If it's a "no rules, whoever wins wins" situation then -- she won. Good for her.

Exactly which is why Karen needs to be a big girl and apologize for being so stupid.

I thought there are no rules. Let the best man win. In this case, she won.

As someone with zero interest in a ball, allowing people to push into other sections and push people who had paid for the seats in that section aside to grab a ball needs to be clearly disallowed. There’s too much chance of someone getting hurt as zealous fans race into other sections. Stay in your seats and areas! Only leave via the designated routes to the bathrooms, concessions and exits. Safety people! Safety!

Then Karen shouldn’t have reached into a row and seat that wasn’t hers for a ball meant for someone else.

Can you read? The man knew he couldn't clock her. Any woman would have knocked her out.

So if the dad tiok the ball from a girl to give to his son that would be ok?

What are you talking about? This makes no sense.

It’s not "no rules, whoever wins wins.” The rule is whoever gets the ball in their hands first gets it. The ball was given to her as appeasement to get her to leave the family alone.

She didn’t win anything. Everyone who attends baseball games knows that until and unless someone has full possession of the ball, it’s fair game. The dad gave her the ball because she was acting unstable and he wanted to show his kids it’s better to deescalate the situation. The fact that she was female had zero to do with it. It had everything to do with her acting like a raving lunatic.

You know if he didn’t give her the ball, she 100% would’ve asked to speak with the manager 😂

If she had been younger and more spry maybe she would have got it herself. But she must have been three sheets to the wind and had no chance.

Disagree. This was staged. I don't believe a random person would be able to go unidentified for nearly a week.

+1 Bet she has a significant mental health history. Very much a raving lunatic!
