Has she been found yet? This is weird. Maybe she's in the IC? |
She's not worth defending. So it doesn't really matter. Save your outrage for a real victim of which I'm there surely must be a better example. |
She is a lawyer. |
No one is defending her. She shouldn’t have done that. The issue is millions of people treating this like it was some truly horrible thing, vilifying her while making the guy some kind of hero. It’s fvked up. |
People are definitely defending her saying the ball was in "her area" or that "she had it first". Please. |
That is true, but that doesn’t mean she should have confronted him in that way. That’s not defending her. |
The lady was way over the top to go running over to this guy and put her hands on him. She then continued yelling and pointing her finger in the guy’s face. Even after she saw the ball had been given to a kid, she still took the ball back. Then when people booed her she got in another guy’s face and flipped everyone in the section off. That is acting unhinged. I know that doesn’t fit the narrative you are trying to make happen here, but those are the facts. Dudes have also been called out publicly multiple times for stealing balls or other sports souvenirs from kids. Let it go, she is not worth the defense you are insistent on giving her. |
I’m not defending her. I’m saying her crappy behavior is not commensurate with the extreme public response. The misogynistic undertones are also gross. |
+1 |
This is the crux of the matter. |
The public response has not been any different than the response to the Polish guy that took the hat from the kid at the US Open a few days before. Bad behavior is bad behavior regardless of whether it’s a man or woman. |
This is my view in previous comments on this thread. The public has turned into a lynch mob. This incident somehow is feeding some early human, primitive need to participate in a lynch mob. If nothing else, an interesting sociological phenomenon. like you said, it's fvked up. |
Not at all true. The attacks on the woman at the baseball game have gone on for much longer and are much more extreme. |
She ended up with the ball in hand. She won. Everyone else needs to wipe the tears off their cheeks, blow their noses and go back to their seats. |
Well to be fair the polish guy apologized. Where is her apology?? Np |
