Because she doesn't take crap from anyone, unlike Republicans will kiss someone's ass all day long just to stay in office.

100%

Republicans detest women who speak up against unethical behavior.

That’s why they are going after this woman. Dude is entitled to all of the balls. Of course he is the hero here.

Speaking up against what you think is unethical behavior is not admirable when you lay hands on someone (battery) and scream in that persons face, flip off the crowd, scream in a second man's face, and hold up the ball in victory. That is pathetic behavior for a grown woman, if that's what she is. Of course, if you come from a Jerry Springer rough type background, you're okay with it.

“Battery”?

You are part of the problem.

I was on a jury with battery involved. Yep
. That counts as battery.

Jury?

Again, you are part of the problem.

Stop.

This whole thing is ridiculous, but you are going out of your way to look stupid by not acknowledging that the proper legal term for what the woman did is, indeed, battery.

You stop. You are the part of the problem fueling this ridiculous witch hunt with intentionally inflammatory language.

My point stands: Republicans detest women who speak up against unethical behavior.

So truthful language is forbidden because you think it is “inflammatory”? Lol.

You sound like the snowflake Repub. I’m not one.

The poster who wants to forbid truthful language is an ignorant person, regardless of sex or political views. Probably has never served on a jury involving assault, battery, and/or murder.

It was his son's birthday and I'm sure he thought it would be very special to catch a ball for his kid to bring home. Who would begrudge him that? That ball has no value other than the sentimental value. And it is absolutely a first-come, first-serve situation! Any mature adult would have seen where he was going with it and been like "oh good--it's for his kid" and felt pretty good about the whole situation. She behaved badly.

ALL THAT BEING SAID, I completely agree that the online harassment and doxxing has become a terrifying cultural phenomenon and no one deserves it. But if you generally behave like a normal, respectful human being, it is unlikely to happen to you.

He was absolutely WRONG.. It was her ball. He could have asked for it after the fact explaining it was his son's birthday but it was not in his section and it was in hers. I can understand why she was upset and she had every right to be.

Why is it ok for a man to do this?

Just own up and apologize already, this can’t be anyone other than the ball stealer.

There is no rule that the ball belongs to a section. The ball belongs to whomever gets their hands on it first.

She won fair and square. Why are the men so het up that a woman had the balls to confront someone and get the ball she wanted? If it's a "no rules, whoever wins wins" situation then -- she won. Good for her.

She didn’t win anything. Everyone who attends baseball games knows that until and unless someone has full possession of the ball, it’s fair game. The dad gave her the ball because she was acting unstable and he wanted to show his kids it’s better to deescalate the situation. The fact that she was female had zero to do with it. It had everything to do with her acting like a raving lunatic.

+1 Bet she has a significant mental health history. Very much a raving lunatic!

No crazier than a grown man RUNNING into someone else's seating area to get a baseball.

Have you never been to a baseball game?! It’s always a free for all for balls hit into the stands.

I guess if it’s a free for all then it’s fine for her to reclaim it.

Or maybe it’s just a free for all…for men.

You’re being deliberately obtuse to make this into something misogynistic. When the ball is hit into the stands it’s free game for everyone, especially in the area where not all the seats are full. When one person emerges with the ball that’s it, game over. Especially when the ball was given to a kid. This lady was completely unhinged and it’s not misogynistic to say that.

Signed, 46 year old woman who doesn’t feel the need to defend everyone who also has a vagina.

+1 Exactly Thank you for this post. I agree with all you said.

OP, I’m with you. I’ve seen some ridiculous behavior from grown men, practically mowing over kids and other people to get to a stupid ball. It doesn’t fall near you, it ain’t yours.

That being said, once she saw the kid, she should have turned around and walked away.

When you can’t engage on the merits of an argument and think just throwing out “MAGA” will silence other people you are part of the problem.
