I thought the GOP were constitutionalists? |
This is what the Dems were campaigning on in 2024. It’s not our fault you can’t believe what you see/hear. |
No, Dems were campaigning as incumbents on a track record of high inflation, housing unaffordability, and increasing income inequality. And the biggest part of the track record was millions of new illegal immigrants, which obviously lowers wages. The problem for the Dems is that voters DID believe what they saw. |
No, they weren't. Harris had specific plans to get more housing and specifically affordable housing built, she had specific plans to reduce the costs for drugs and healthcare and she had specific plans to further curtail price gouging. She also supported the immigration reform bill and pledged to sign it if it were brought to er desk. Trump never made the same promise and we haven't seen the GOP bring that bill forward either. |
Her “plans” sounded nice (exceot the reoeated plan to change nothing). But she was judged by the Biden-Harris track record instead of on her occasional talking points. Voters didn’t like the track record |
In the eyes of voters, incumbents run on track records, not on hot air |
Np. Brat and joy were a thing her supporters came up with. Not like she made stupid looking hats with a lame-arse slogan. Unbelievable how people criticize her for being joyful while shrugging off Trump’s racism/sexism/criminal record with”his personality isn’t important.” |
Really? Arrogant Kamala Harris told union boss she’d win election ‘with or without you’ — before crushing loss: official https://nypost.com/2024/12/24/us-news/kamala-harris-told-teamsters-president-sean-obrien-shed-win-election-with-or-without-you/ Joe Biden was vehemently pro Union and had broad working class appeal. Kamala Harris, not so much. |
Ooh. Oo. I know why that is -from a union area |
well how about Trump’s track record with being so incompetent he couldn’t handle a pandemic. Oh he also incited a riot that caused an insurrection because he didn’t like the results of the election. Many voters were not going to vote for a woman or a person of color. Period. End of story. Despite how competent and qualified Harris was. All you have to do is look at the mess we are in now and you can see that. |
And so we get Christian Nationalism and pull out of NATO instead. ![]() |
She ran a very pro-union race and while the Teamsters didn't support her, most others did. And the irony, the Teamsters will lose their jobs to automated ports and automated long haul trucking -jobs the Dems have long supported but Elon and the tech bros want to eliminate. Oh well. |
This shows where the overall approval of the country is:

Well the union boss FA and now the members are FO. Trump signed a slew of EO to union bust. https://prospect.org/labor/2025-03-17-trump-pick-union-busting-attorney-key-labor-law-position-nlrb/ https://nffe.org/nffe_news/president-trumps-union-busting-executive-orders-what-you-need-to-know/ https://aflcio.org/press/releases/afl-cio-president-responds-president-trump-union-busting-federal-workforce |
“ the Democratic Party continued its strong performance in under-the-radar elections since Trump took office. Democrats notched another major upset in a strongly conservative Iowa state Senate district in January, also holding the Westchester County executive seat in New York, among other more low-key successes. |
