Amazing. If Reid doesn’t have the decency to pack her bags and go willingly, the school board needs to fire her. There’s cause. In abundance. This has been going on for so long and everyone knew about it. Only 2 possibilities, a cover up or gross incompetence. |
Yep, you're wrong. It cannot be proven that he is "bringing kids in from out of state." What can be proven is kids are coming in from out of state and playing in JM's program. I know one of the kids who came in from out of state quite well, as he played for an AAU program I coached and ended up signing at Vandy. That player in question, and several other top-tier players, moved down to Richmond to appear Swagger, which was filmed in the city. The coach didn't bring those kids in - Durant was looking for a spot to get good HS basketball players to move to an area that had an already-good basketball team to entice them to come. Richmond made sense. Durant's agent, Rich Kleiman, who is lawyered up like crazy, worked closely to ensure no HS rules were violated AND was transparent as anything. If it appears I have inside knowledge of all of this, it is because I do. Re-read my comment - I don't agree with his methods, but he does abide by the letter of the rules. I clearly didn't write that he does abide by the intent of the rules but he is abiding by the rules. He is an intelligent version of Overton. That is all. |
| Sorry for the typos in my comment above, and apologies if it made for a tough read. I forgot to include the word "in" in front of "Swagger" (the Durant AppleTV show). And the sentence following it should have read, "The coach didn't bring those kids in - Durant was looking for a spot to get good HS basketball players to move to for filming and knew an area that had an already-good basketball team could entice them to come." |
The arrogance, stupidity, and comical lack of self-awareness of all involved in the illegal recruiting/transferring etc. and the subsequent coverup is borderline comical. This one line sums it up pretty well: "At a May 1 track meet, even the track and field team's coaches were left shaking their heads when the athletic director added 10 football players to their roster without practicing with the team." It is as if no one, not Fritts, not Thompson, and especially not Overton was smart enough to even think about covering their tracks. |
| The SB meeting at 7 shohld be interesting. If anyone watches, post the interesting parts. |
Guess the big man who lived in NC’s family must’ve conveniently relocated to Richmond. |
| Meeting starting soon. Channel 11 on Verizon |
Get'em Mateo! Us ordinary citizens across the county are counting on you to chime in for us! |
Is it legal to livestream the livestream on youtube and allow comments? Turning comments off is another way to make sure citizens cannot share sentiments and build cohesion. |
| First up is a very clear and direct Robinson parent. |

I'm making more popcorn right now. This is getting good. |
Jesus, the lack of reading comprehension skills amongst Hayfraud supporters is comical. I was the one that wrote the prior comments about Marshall. I am not claiming that Marshall isn't skirting the rules. They're just smart enough to stick to the letter of the law while ignoring the intent. I don't support the guy nor do I pretend he doesn't have kids who didn't formerly live in the boundaries of Richmond, VA on his roster. But again...he is sticking to the letter of the law. Sucks that he is smarter than your boy. Just find smarter coaches to hitch your wagon to Hayfraud supporters. Overton has made a career of getting caught. |
| Hayfield Football mom comparing Hayfield to Remember the Titans. Give me a break. |
| There are over 200 people watching right now. I have no idea if that's common but it seems like a lot for a School Board meeting on a Thursday. |
| Deanna Doherty first pro-Hayfield speaker. |
